Marcus forgets Hestia, Athena and Hephaiston not to mention the little known Anteros
Marcus would never forget Athena, as she is one of his most favourite goddesses. Hephaistos is not free of guilt: he tried to force himself on Athena (which, mind you, her father sanctioned!). But Athene was too much of a warrior, and beat Hephaiston back. She could also be a bitch, having turned the mortal Arachne into a spider after she found out that she could weave better than her.

She won the contest between her and Athene. It was Athene's hubris that got in the way.

Evan notes that Marcus had nothing to say about Hestia or Anteros. He also adds Circe to the list as sailors are all pigs to start off with. Also Hephaiston probably has deep rooted psychological issues with what Hera did so he's off the hook.

Athene is the Greek spelling, sorry. And the Greek gods are famous for their fickleness! Their personalities were symbols for the processes of nature and civilisation.

Evan also think Hecate was quite cool and that Hebe must have been the Olympians equivalent to Paris Hilton and Carmen from the Big Sleep.
Athene also had every right to be proud if what Metis said was true.

Katie thinks that Marcus' reasoning is flawed or very offensive as fickelness goes virtually hand in hand with the female sex and most certainly doesnt denote emotional frailty.

Fickleness denotes emotional frailty. Hubris is included in that mould.
Not quite. Fickleness denotes a lack of loyalty to a person or ideal that a being holds dear and as such hubris and fickleness are symptoms of emotional frailty not the other way around.

Marcus thinks that Katie is being sexist. Fickleness is certainly not confined to women. Matcus thinks that Katie is mistaking fickleness with the greater emotional fluidity which many women possess. This function is not weakness, it is a greater intuitive function. Fickleness is a form of triviality and selfishness. What women seem to posses can be called emtional understanding.

Evan wonders if Marcus has realised yet that no-one is agreeing with him and says if he changes avatars things might go more smoothly with Katie

Fickleness: Denotes changeability, and the LACKING OF RESOLVE. It infers caprice, and emotional instability.

Hubris: Excessive pride. (N.B: the Olympians were also placed within a hierachical structure, making them susceptible to hubris. The Ancient Greek notion of a "god" did not represent infallability).

Evan ignores Marcus' purposely convoluted explanations and simply proclaims Marcus wrong

Katie thinks it has nothing to do with Marcus' avatar, and has also tired of this conversation. She thinks she will go on an adventure to the kitchen to look for food. Preferable chocolate. She wonders if anyone is up for an adventure?

Each to his own. :p Though Marcus does not see how anyone has truly disproved what he is saying, simply because Evan pronounced his explaination "convoluted".
