Lynn does not "dig" postmodern literature either :D

Why she wrote her story that way is anyone's guess. :S

Alan's Formal was horrific. He is glad he will never have such a gathering with these people again. He knew he shouldnt have went, but he also knew that his friends would not have forgiven him if he didnt, so he tried to maintain a happy and positive attitude thoughout the night. He did not want to spoil his friends night.

The sooner Alan can get away from all this, the better.

He hopes everyone here at Important - Please Read, is having a fantastic time, whatever they are doing as he misses them dearly...

Katie is too ill to read the 30 or so pages of posts that have accumulated since her last visit but would like to show that she is still alive and hopes that everyone is well and has been having a good time! She is ashamed to have participated in silly 18 year old activities on thursday night but is still paying the price of continual nausea. Although Katie would like to add that alcohol does wonders for her karaoke skills. Katie has seen that eveyone seems to have put themselves in their avatars and would like to tell Lynn that she is very pretty!

Lynn thanks Katie for compliments :D

Lynn feels sorry that Alan had such a terrible formal - next time, he should just come to Lynn's house, and they can play PICTIONARY! hahaha. Lynn is in love with pictionary at the moment, but only among friends, particularly when they are all on highs. Although trying to draw words "Blue Tit" and "Richter Scale" proved VERY difficult... Lynn's team also lost, BUT ONLY BY ONE SQUARE...

Lynn is proud that Alan made the most of his night, and hopes that Katie feels better soon.

For the record, Lynn had a quiet but fun 18th birthday party that involved Pictionary, LOTS of food (Lynn and Lynn's friends only ended up finishing 1/3 of it, even though she told them not to eat beforehand) and as hoped, much laughter (as well as two bottles of Maison - fake wine - :D :D :D). Lynn's dogs proved very amusing. On another positive note, photos were taken of Lynn and Cake (chocolate butterfly cupcake affair) and she will post it up soon, so friends on Important - Please Read can actually see what Lynn looks like in present day as opposed to overly-healthy, overly-tanned sprig of a young Lynn in avatar!!!

Justin is glad Lynn enjoyed her party, feels sorry that Alan didn't enjoy his formal and chuckles at Katie's hangover. Justin tells Katie that doing that kind of thing once in a while is OK, but doing it every night for the sake of it is not.

The party/barbecue that justin went to yesterday was enjoyable, albeit a bit windy, his cousin's party was great and the party he went to in the evening was uncomfortable as he didn't know many people at all, and they were all drinking/smoking anyway.

Lynn shakes her head a mention of lots of people smoking and drinking (among other unmentioned things) as she feels that it really is never a lot of fun. She vastly prefers suger-induced highs (not that Lynn needs anything to get on a high, just tell her a lame joke - which she will laugh at because her comedy tolerance level is like, zero - then another lame joke, then dare her into dancing around the room like a crazy chicken or something equally funny, and then voila - Lynn is on a high).

Lynn feels that parties should be remembered for the fun things that happened (such as PICTIONARY!!!) and you cannot do that when you are blind drunk. Plus, cigarette smoke makes Lynn choke (as she is somewhat asthmatic) and one cannot drive with any alcohol in the blood anyway.

Lynn will go back to eating leftovers from last night now :D

Lynn's friends are all (humorously) blaming Lynn in the event that she stuffed them so much they are unable to fit into their formal dresses anymore :D

Ahhh so it proves that Friday night had something about it! Seeing as usually, Alan's holidays involve alot of boringness to it.

Alan is very glad that Justin, Lynn and Katie had interesting, if not very enjoyable nights!

Alan has just started reading the first book for pure enjoyment last night. It is a re-read, as it is one of my favourite books! The Bitterbyne Trilogy by Cecelia Dart-Thornton.

He also conceived an idea for his planned novel, about the entrenched superficiality and hypocracy in Sydneys Gay scene. Alan was thinking about exploring the implications of age and just how damageing ageing can be for the gay man. It might not seem so serious to you guys (no offence, if any has been taken) but Alan can assure you it is.

It'll be interesting Alan reckons, not just the exploration of these themes, but seeing as Alan is not old (or ugly :)) he wonder how he will manage to to sucessfully execute the novel. (that is, if he is not drunk since, everyday since his Legals exam, he has been drinking.)

Anyway, Alan kisses all and hopes to see you all soon.

Lynn suggests that a brief... holiday... from drinking might be prudent.

If Alan still feels the need to guzzle something down, she suggests fake wine, or even better, a "cocktail" made from fake wine and fresh apple juice. YUMMY!

Oh, Alan doesnt usually feel the need, but he feels the desire for the intoxication (unconciousness is good). He, like Lynn, gets high on sugar...very high.

"Wha! how many drinks has Alan had?"

"He hasnt even had one! All he's been drinking is coke!"

Lynn understands perfectly!

Except because Lynn restrains herself from soft drinks on a regular basis, on the rare occasion she does have one, it only takes half a can of Sprite to send her on a massive high! WHOOO!

EDIT: Random note, but Lynn's friend has been persuading Lynn to start reading the Bitterbyne trilogy for AGES. It is on Lynn's list of things to read :)

EDIT: Lynn notices that Thomas is online and hopes that when he reads this he will consider joining conversation :) And not be put off by third-person-narration :p

The books are FANTASTIC! At first, Alan found them a bit dense. But the love story...Ah! Alan wishes he was an ill-made mute.

Lynn wonders whether the pain of becoming an "ill-made mute" is really worth the love story, but then, she has not read the books yet so all this is merely speculation.

Lynn is going off to do some "stuff" now, but will be back later. She hopes Alan has a nice day to help him forget formal night, perhaps some more toenail-painting? :p

It is!

Alan has already painted his toenails on Wednesday (while drunk). They look really pretty indeed.

He bids Lynn farewell and wishes her a nice day as well.

LOL. Lynn is glad that Alan's toenails are already pretty. Lynn thinks that shiny nails are enough to make ANYONE happy.

Thanks to cosmetics on the mind, Lynn is reminded of a tale a friend told her yesterday about a spider that looked like it was wearing makeup. Friend took photo of "Abominable Snowman" (as friend named spider), and Lynn cannot wait to see it, even though she is not very fond of spiders.

Yay! Lynn is glad that Alan will have the opportunity to show off his shiny toenails soon. Lynn thinks that swimming in this weather is an excellent idea. If Lynn was not sewing - again - then she would probably be heading off to someone's pool as well.

"Swim like a fish! Like a fish!"

...Alan was initially curious as to how he should swim, now he knows.

Yet upon returning from the pool, he will say that he swam like a rock. No fish, rock.

Justin spent today reading, and by doing so, finished Ice Station. Fortunately his grandmother let him borrow a couple of Stephen King books to read: Cujo and Firestarter. :D
