The Shins are pretty great. Iron & Wine is similar as well, if that hasn't come up.

I couldn't be bothered to go through all the posts, but I am really into Art vs. Science right now - worth the time, but they don't exactly have too many songs to listen to :)

Edit: I saw someone recommend The Killers and Daft Punk as indie bands - these guys are both huge, no way are they indie bands.

Same with Phoenix. Not a big fan of their sound though..

M83 are pretty consistent with their sound. If you like that you should check out their full albums.

I've got "Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts" and "Saturdays=Youth". S=Y is pretty uniform across the board, whereas DC is a bit more experimental IMO.
