Well if you like downloading TV shows and intend to do that at uni, then that's the costs you're looking at.

Well I never had an issue but I don't use torrents. I've heard of people getting notices from IT about torrents/p2p, but honestly I think the uni are happy as long as they're getting the money.

$1200 a month.

anyway it's pretty easy to get the cat5 (blue wire) and put that into a router/WAP to turn it into wireless :p


maybe i can hack into the subframe and distribute my own ISP.
i think i'll get movies/tvshows/games i'll wanna see/play for the next 6 months or whatever at home, then bring it on external drives.

Your best bet is to get a bunch of like-minded individuals and set up a WAP with a terrabyte hanging off it as a file server. I did that for a while. That way you avoid duplications.

Good luck hacking into the uni network....... ;)
