ill just wait

And a few questions for Dan -
Will the facetime be free since its using wifi or will there be some sort of extre charge from the provider.

if it is free, how is it possible to combine wifi over a normal call for face time, is it the network they use or internal technology?

and is the screen anti glare?

Thanks

Totally pwned. I totally agree.

The sun makes photons, which travel in waves - just like waves. They have energy to make electrons move from their valence shell to a higher energy state yet they have no mass and therefore no momentum either.

I can't even remember who everyone is raging at, but they're totally wrong.
nononononono photons have momentum. They have no REST mass

Screen isn't anti glare

Facetime uses bonjour over wan to connect the two devices, the carrier cant even Tell you're using it. They wont use the 3G network for video yet because the carriers will shit themselves. This is a bold move because once you move to 4g they'll start offing free calls over wifi. Because they're using local sip hosting, you'll probably see free iPhone to iPhone calling over wifi coming asap.

Then you'll have bonjour for your contacts and you'll potentially be able to see their network status whenever they are around.

I'm guessing.

yea but knowing apple, they try and extend what they have now for as long as possible...meaning new major features won't come anytime soon...But they WILL eventually make there way onto the market.

This is bloody brilliant, thanks for the info.

who cares, just enjoy whats here. If they give you everything now, they cant make any money later on can they?

It's pretty much a rule for businesses, that the profit is top priority and Apple knows how to get that.

better than other phones on the market atm imo

It's an open standard meaning other people can extend it...

so would apple own the rights for it or something, because they released it first, or is it too big of a thing to copyright?

They've just taken existing technology and implemented that

Take a look around the 2:45 mark

You can't copyright technology such as a 5 megapixel camera, videocalling... Any new features of the iPhone 4.

You can simply claim that you developed the "new technology" and copyright the name you make up for it.
