That's aligning. 4u has much higher scaled marks for the same aligned marks.

Slide Rule you forgot distinction courses, which lie somewhere in between 3 and 4u maths.
thats not necessarily true (though yes I should have written aligned instead of scaled sorry). At high aligned marks, say ~90, 3u almost catches 4u... though I spose its pretty irrelevant anyway but I just thought I'd point it out hehe

i think
sdd should scale the highest.
raw mark of 60/100 should scale to 99/100 :)
For one to manage such perfect bullshiting capabilities along with a decent ammount of logic, like CMON, its 2units here >.<.
Hell yes! For the amount of work, memorisation, luck, skill and logic required to do well ni it, SDD should have scaling higher than 4 unit maths!

The problem is, most people who do SDD are below average, where as most people who do 4 unit maths are well above average.

I agree fully. I did about 20 times as much work in SDD than in maths

There needs to be a Mathematics Extension 3 with uber rad scaling, number theory and matrices

And physics and chemistry extensions with physics and chemistry in them. Like proper physics and chemistry.

Geometry and I don't agree with each other.

Xayma: Or we could just fix up the existing subjects.

What we need is more american style advanced placement courses where a fair few courses count for university credit.

it should depend on the uni course as well.
like arts obviously dont need maths.... and maths is bad for arts

Im pretty sure the way the american system works is (it works easier for the american system cause the maths is split up into geometry etc).

You do the AP course.
If you get an A/B (depending on the uni some take C's) you gain credit for a specific course at that university.

I spend so little time on business studies LOL

Ditto.... I came 3rd in the year and I have never studied in my life for Business Studies. It's a good subject to do if you are lazy :)

mm you dont know sdd unless you do sdd
its not your average ipt, ofcourse some parts of it are but not the 'logical' parts.

Its hard to explain, im not good at explaining, i cbf explaining. sdd should scale highest end of story, all sdders agree AHOI! :)^_^

if there was 10 unit maths
id pick it :)
oh probably hmm
6 units of maths yeah
1 unit of physics
3 units of computer gaming studies
;)

i spent the least time on english, followed by sdd, then maths.. then..

i have no faith in sdd, its just.. full of bullshits which are advantaged to good english students.. as im a below average english student, i just cant bullshit

i chose sdd because i thought it was mainly programming, which i knew now that i was wrong.. im good at programming, i started to programm when i was in year 9...but this whole theory thing is just.. two words to describe it, bullshits :)

EDIT: I just found out this is a maths forum @_@

That doesn't matter. On the topic of SDD, god I hated that subject.
