i like black
blue seems very primary school to me
but i always seem to have like 5 blue pens and only one black in my pencil case :s

Black for sure.

I always used to use blue, but then one time a teacher told me it's easier if you write in black. So I changed. Now it's weird for my eyes if I use blue.

I'm the same (sort of). I prefer blue, but I think that there's 1 blue pen and 3 black pens in my pencil case. Thus, I always seem to be writing with black.

I've tried writing in Red before, with all the headings blue... ohhhhh that was a crazy day. I'm so radical, you can tell.

apparently black is better to use in HSC exams cause it is less shiny than blue pen, so the markers don't get as annoyed, don't really trust the source of this informations (a friend) but still its interesting

i like black pen better because it compliments the white paper you are writing on much better than blue! nah, just kidding - black is cool just cause it is I guess

My school teacher who is HSC marker recommended us to use blue pen instead of black pen as it is less irritating (visually).

why are people saying writing in blue looks neater? so NOT ! LOL i use black .. but blue on worksheets so i can find what i wrote more easily.. if that makes sense.

I like blue, it adds colour to the page, and makes the essay look at least a tiny bit better til you read it. In my case.
