phys1160 is the most popular one since its conveniently completely online and pretty easy

not sure about other ones

It's easy and it's online, but there's far too much work for a gen ed. I have less assessments in my actual engineering courses. Gotta post something on the moodle discussion forum or do a quiz like every week, plus an essay and a timed online final exam. Had I known there was this much work, I probably would not have done it (my opinion could change if I do well, but ATM, I'll put it as an annoyingly easy course).

My friend is doing Personal Finance and he is enjoying it. Another is doing some music (arts) course where they listen to music every week, and I've heard no complaints.

I am doing mechatronics. D94 described above that it is a tedious course and i want something well easy so i dont have to devote my precious brain power to it. I mean really; why make us do a subject designed to be completely irrelevant to our degree?

I assume you mean GENC3004? it seems like an interesting course that would sort of help with life.

i was thinking or maybe doing ARTS2243 and GENS5013. they seem like the most easiest ones i've looked through

what gen ed coursed did you guys do?

engineering so far is great, i have 3 exams in the end and the subjects are pretty laid back compared to what other subjects have. some have like chapter readings and weekly quizzes. i dont think i would be able to do that lol.

would ECON1101 and ECON1102 be advisable? [as a gen ed course]

Other than the morning starts its a pretty gun timetable. Considering I have to leave home 6:45 am to get there on time :haha:

I can say bye bye to useless Physics and just worry about ELEC for 8 days which is sooooo much time to revise.

Also, having one full week before Maths and Physics, then having even more time afterwards is awesome.

No ENGG1000 master race.

Lol I do it in semester 2.

1112 is great and exciting but I really underestimated it and as a result don't think I did well in mid sem exam (somewhere between 50-75%). Its a course where you can look at the lectures and say "this is so easy" but when you do the tute questions you have problems starting.

You also will do 2141 if you do Mechatronics and that is a really fun course and quite neat. However, at first when you walk into lectures you will be like "I'm going to fail this course", then a few weeks later when you do more work involving previous work you will be like "That was easy", because the tute questions tend to help develop past weeks material and stuff.

lol. ENGG1000 is the most easiest course there is (in engg anyways). it is basically working for the semester on one project with a group with small reports due here and there.

Hmmmm, it's one of "those" courses. PHYS1121/1131 seems like that but i ended up changing anyways. was your timetable packed? i would assume so because you're doing like 4 heavy subjects

Lol. Should be great. There's this really weird thing this course did to a friend (can't reveal publicly).

Nah Phys is boring though. This isn't boring its moreso "wtf my basics in this course are screwed" and then you see the answer, it looks so easy, then when you do the next question the same thing happens.

Yep 24 hours and counting.

I also have a crazy day 9-7 with 3 hours of gaps, but its more like 7-9 due to travel times.

No it is not 2 hours it is 14 hours lol. Oh well those days are the best days for me simply because the travel methods have more space, uni is awesome looking at night, and I don't have to worry about trying to do work when I get back home at night :haha:

yeah lol. when i fist look at a question "calculate the dyanmic friction between....." im just like wtf is this and then i look at the solution and it is 3 lines. yes i completely agree. Physics is well intestering but it's not as fun as high school. thank god that wolfe guy is gone now, i don't understand why people liked him. the new lecture seams much better. i still dont know how 80+% of the people pass.

and the number of calculations is too damm high.

24 hours; nigga damm i only have like well the same but i miss most of the phys and maths lectures

yes i sometimes do that as well. i stay behind in the CSE labs to finish off the computer activities and the university does look sexy when it is lit up at night. you feel like a boss walking on main walkway at night.

Nah its nothing much dw. Its a personal thing for my friend though.

Its not the lecturers is the content. The content is just zzzzzz....

I go to all lectures because otherwise I will just bludge any way. There is a certain computer lab I always use in elec building (hint G16). Its only for certain students though and you have to use the id cards so its exclusive, but you should be fine getting in.

Yeah you feel like a boss, especially when the rats come out to play (serious I have seen rats the size of a small dog before near Law and Chem eng and Red Centre). Its pretty nice though and quite relaxing walking back down.
