I reckon Excels for any other subjects apart from Legal, Maths and Engineering are pretty much crap but that's just my view.

But if you wish to choose between Excel or Leading Edge for Modern, go for Excel. My friend uses it and he is quite happy about the contents.

For Business, don't get anything. Just study off the textbook. It's much better.

No wonder you're pro!

I got Cambridge 3U year 11 and 12 which I'm only using now a few weeks before HSC, past papers for last 10(?) years for 2U and Extension 1 and a stack of revision sheets, past trials from everywhere that the teacher gave us for preparation...

I have the work, but no where near enough time >.<"

EDIT: Oh yeah, I got Maths in Focus from the school. I'd forgotten about them...

how'd you get thru all the books then?
I am a fast worker. And I make sure I don't do the same type of questions over and over again.

For example, if they have questions

x^2 + 4x + 4 = 0 and x^2 + 6x + 9 = 0

And tell me to work out the x, I don't do all of them (I mean, in reality, I wouldn't do either of them because they are too easy). I would probably do one question. For example, if you have a fitzpatrick book in front of ya, and you have q 1 a), b), c) and etc. I only do probably half or one third of the amount. But I do every single question as in 1, 2, 3, 4.

And when I go through questions, if they questions are too easy, I don't even bother to do them. So I usually skip through questions and calculate them in my head, if I can do them, I just move on.

yeah thats what i usually do but i only study for max. 1 hour and then stop. I'll probably fail my yearlies because i only studied for shemistry then didn't study for any other subject (my cpu broke down) but i'm hoping to do about 4 hours of study a day in the HSC.

Good luck :) I would like to do about 2-3 hours a day next year, including weekends. This year I was good at the start (I did about 1-2 hours a day) but I slacked off very badly to the end.
I really want to change that.

What textbooks have people got for English so far?
Are there any out yet which relate to the new syllabus?
Even though the syllabus is changing, you can still get some books about the new texts because they are not changing all of the syllabus. I managed to get some books about Immigrants' Chronicle by Peter Skryzenki (wrong spelling, I bet)
