Might seem like a bit of a pedestrian question but how do we obtain our student number?

You will get told on May or June.

That's when I got told last year. (because I accelerated in 2 courses)

yeah its the same as the sc one. 8 digit. iirc you use the same one for uac too (but with an extra 1 in front)
i was 17519050 (wow i still remember)

mine were 3**9 and 8**2

Does the student number change if you move schools? The first four numbers are unique to the region of your school or something, I heard...

Ah, it's possible. Because I think everyone at my school starts something with 1955 or something...

nah, you get it before the HSC.

like June or July.

You use that to access the HSC result/and other useless stuffs that they give out.

No. Most of my class were 19 something, butwe had a few people who changed schools, who I think were 17, 18 and 20.

actually, if they are, go look into it. it'd mighty screw you over if they mix up exams papers (i'm assuming you're better than your sis' bf)

how do they decide your student number, because i thought my twin sister; since she was after me alphabetically at my year 10 school ;would be 1 number after me, but was 8

its the entire cohort.
After the first 4 digits i think it starts with the entire cohort
