Sports people are retarded monkeys like any of them could make a rational decision relating to foreign policy that wasn't "OOG WIN GOLD MEDAL; SELL UNCLE TOBYS PRODUCTS".

Video Description: An Australian tourist filmed mobs running wild Friday in the Tibetan capital of Lhasa.

"It's absolute mayhem on the streets," Michael Smith says, according to CNN.

Most of the segments he provided to ABC News in Australia show Tibetans starting fires and damaging property. Near the end of the amateur video, Chinese tanks and security forces are seen in the city.

Of course it's biased, but its claims are supported by evidence. On the other hand Western media keeps spouting unsubstantiated claims of a government "crackdown".

The actual capacity of the riot police to deal with the terrorism, protect innocent people and restore law and order was hampered by fears that Western media would distort the events. Those fears were realised.

We can not say the idea is wrong or not. But the bringing of democracy by force really hurts people in Irap, both mentally and physically. Their life quality is becoming even lower. America's sole purpose is trying to grab more high-quality crude oil.

Re: Boycott of Olympics

It's no secret that China's development and dazzling change touch the nerve of western supremacist and imperialist.

Ever since the industrial revolution, the western hemisphere always be the biggest polluter in this planet and the trend never stop.

They colonized and plundered Asian-African nation to finance their technological modernization and industrialization. If there were no Blitzkrieg or October revolution in Europe, much of Asia now probably still the colony of European powers.

Now after they reach mature stage of societal modernization and mastered the art of psychological-warfare, media manipulation, they use their 'free' media to demonize any rising power that may challenge their world domination.

China's potential make today's hegemon feel uneasy, the continuous economic growth invite doomsayers to curse every aspect of China.

No. Freedom, democracy and freedom of speech are absolute human rights.
Why didn't Europeans say it 200-300 years ago?

It's got nothing to do with Europe or the West

China has severe human rights issues. Nothing you say about the West will change that.

China has been around longer than the West has existed for. I think China has had long enough, and the fact that they actively oppose everything that leads to individual and social enlightenment supports that.

Do you think a long-time invasion and colonisation is kind of giving enlightment?

Many Western press ALWAYS deliberately ignore some facts and thus hold a biased view, when it comes to things about China. I think most Chinese people are disgusted about this long-time tradition.

China has its problems but I don't think it's that much worse than America.

After all which country is invading other nations and killing their natives? Which country is supporting genocide in Palestine?

America is the biggest arms dealer and drug dealer in the world and has supported regimes just as bad as Sudan and Burma and BTW America and the west still has oil companies operating in Burma.

The U.S now has a patriot act that will see people arrested without trial in other words you can disappear and never return and I won't be surprised if Australia follows the same path under Rudd seeing that he himself has some socialist big brother tendencies like his internet censorship proposals.

Tibet was Chinese long before 1949 get your facts right.

Look at any map from the Qing dynasty or Nationalist Era and you'll clearly that Tibet belonged to China.

Tibet never had a currency, an army or diplomatic relations with other countries so how can Tibet been independent? It's a non existant entity invented by a few separatists and western colonial powers.

The Dalai Lama is a lackey of the CIA and has always and still does fight for the CIA.

There is no country called Tibet, It's a lie propagated by a few exiles.
Similarly, China belongs to Mongolia since Mongols empire ruled most of china for many centuries.
How pathetic is that? A country doesnt need an army, diplomatic mission or currency to be a country. Monaco, Liechtenstein have none of those on their own and yet they are internationally recognised independent countries.

Since 1914, Tibet was independent from China until 1950 when china invaded and occupied Tibet.

And comparing China with USA in terms of opression and human rights abuse is just ridiculous. Many chinese people live in USA and Australia because you are scared of government persecution. We are yet to find an American who fled USA in search of freedom in China.

1. Mongols rule most of "current China" for less than a century. It quickly collapses.

2. China has ruled Tibet for many centries.

3. The reason China lost Tibet is due to the invasion of European countries which then force China to sign in some imposed treaties.

4. USA does not seem to respect human rights of people in countries which are not USA's allies.

1 and 2. China never ruled Tibet it only invaded every once in a while to plunder the riches where as Dalai Lamas had been head of Tibet since 16th century.

3. Thats exactly what China was doing to tibet, invading tibet and forced them to sign treaty or face genocide.

4. China does not seems to respect human rights of its own citizens, not to talk of other countries such as Tibet and Taiwan.
