UH OH, SYMONDS PROBABLY OUT FOR THE CUP..

The key for this run chase it to get to a firey start with gilly and haydos at about 6/7 an over without losing many wickets.

Great game, unlucky on not getting the century. Sif not just not run then hit the next one for four. Tait and Hodge should be going to the WI now.

I don't know which abc commentator is comparing Bevan to Hussey, but that's so stupid considering what Bevan did and how short Hussey's career has been.

yes, but we only had about an over or two to spare. if kiwis scored say...20 more runs... they might have won. :)

Anyone who may doubt Hussey will have to go to hell now :D

Highest ever ODI average, by nearly 20 runs - with an average of 74.38 (was 77.7 before he got out last night :( )...Pieteson is next on 56.5 and Michael Bevan third(hence the Hussey/Bevan analogies I guess)

Source

17th on the all time best strike rates too :D 92.59 - higher than symonds!

Source
Hussey - 1562 runs
Bevo - 6912 runs

Come on match? no match lol!

Nah, Hussey and BEvan are two different players, people think that hussey is the next bevan - personally I dont think thats his best role and he isnt that good at it.

He is far better just playing as normal batsman up the order and to play freely to demolish the opponent.

Hodge gee, was fantastic and I think although he isnt left-handed would be well suited at 5 or 6. Hussey to 4, really clarke? has to well improve his batting, at no.5. hodge at 6.

Ponting as usual , bloody good.

pontings got the ODI player of the year. out of consistency and a few good innings i spose. so he's going to do the triple. there is no way he won't get the test player of the year. and therefore he'll get the allan border medal. deservedly so really.

would've loved to seen warney take something.

i reckon he'd have a chance at the AB medal if he still played ODI.

Congrats to Punter. First man to win consecutive Allan Border medals in its short history. I thought that Hussey would push him all the way...but Ponting won it rather easily in the end.

I would have rathered symonds to get ODI player of the year, warne to win test player of the year and then punter to get the allan border medal. that would have been much better.

pup and lara bingle. that's hawt.
