Anyone else start putting up the new tickets for the national pricing today?

I think Coles' is a bit low-key so far. Just some shelf talkers and POS advertising. Don't know if there's more to come on Feb 1 though

Have fun with that!
Just heard rumour that we are getting a refit in April. Not sure if true. We shall see! Maybe it's just front end... :S

Haha sounds like the sort of note I'd leave. I'd prolly dislike your SSM simply due to the fact that he sounds like me.... clash of similar personalities! :p

Aw :( does everyone hate their managers?? I <3 my STMs, SSM and SM. Is this a bad thing?? :cold:
We actually get along, I just think that sometimes his priorities are a bit skewed. And I'm always on the receiving end of his crap :(

I'm glad I got out of systems when I did then! ;)

Our UPS only runs the registers. We have a generator that, I swear, is from WW2. It's loud and shudders violently when it gets turned off. It only runs the back dock fridges, freezers and emergency lighting in the store and offices. When power goes out for a substantial time everything in the meat cabinets, freezers and perishables has to be loaded into trolleys and taken to the back. What ever doesn't fit gets dumped if the temps get too low. Being in a cyclone area it can happen a few times a year.

Ha...I love how Foodworks justify charging 3x as much as Coles/Woolies because they are a 'community store'. Probably shouldn't dump of Foodworks since by best friend works there. :D

Question green arrowers, how exactly did you all put them up? I went little tab underneath the stripping, larger tab over the shelf ticket, and then press the arrow down.

:pirate: I was a bit concerned I was doing it wrong. Some of them looked super retarded, but that could also be our shelves.

I have a new found level of sympathy for you.
Haha is that a good or bad thing for me? Where do you work? I guess somewhere in the area :p

I know, 3/4 of all people who come in at night are drug taking, stealing lowlife fuckwits. And those bogans...... lol

But that is a Clause resulting from actual differences between the states. I don't think we need each state to have different conditions regarding the payout of leave loading when people quit. I know it's happened because of neither sides wish to give in to the other- do you think over time they will consolidate things?

Out of interest why do you think wa tourism precinct stores have a lot to lose?
I must have missed this, sorry!

I haven't read the agreement, so all I'm saying is hearsay/my opinion. The differences I mentioned are very different from leave loading etc. Until I've read that I won't comment.

The only reason why I think tourist precincts in WA will lose out is because certain stores in WA are paid at a much higher rate than others (through the year, not just when penalty rates are applied). My store gets paid more than another store 10-15 minutes away because we are required to trade sundays/late nights/public holidays at set points in the year. If a national agreement sets pay at a set level, I may as well go and work at the store that doesn't require those hours.

(Not saying that I would, because as a casual working sundays is quite beneficial to me, but for others it could make a difference.)

My comment is more one of me being selfish and wanting my higher pay rate, rather than there being an actual issue. Like I said, I'm going to wait to see what actually is included before I judge it more harshly.

our rosters are fucked for next week because my csm decided to take the approach of "they can tell me when their availabilities change, i shouldn't have to chase them up". so yeah, school/tafe/notre dame students are leaving notes left right and centre saying "I can't work x and y shifts, sorry!"

Which means probably yet another 6 day, 40+ hour week for me :(

I have never been at work when the power was out(was 30 minutes too late one day!) BUT I have been at work when we have had to do an evacuation due to a fire in Big W.Major Pain in the Ase!

OMFG, My 1-6 shift was so crappy today. Flat out.

Back to school on Monday, So my Roster for this week is:

MON 4.30-6.30
THU 4.30-9.30(SCO)
SAT 1-6(SCO)

And then next week,

MON 4.30-6.30
THU 4.30-9.30(S/S)
SAT 1-6(SCO)*At The Moment

Also had a lady come in today, trying to tell us that the Everyday Rewards Card cost her $120 in fees. WTF?? If it was Everyday Money, then that might be right.not Everyday Rewards. And apparently they are linked to VISA Cards. "Mental"
