Probably revenge. The Arabs are a little cross. You see, Israel killed about 2000 of them in three weeks not long ago. Do you remember that, Jew?

Yeah dude because racism = religious discrimination?

I'm afraid you got your tongue tied, daft cunt. What you should have said was: "Countries that cry foul at war, succeeding at drawing attention to Israel's abominable human rights record. SUCCESS."
Hahaha. Wow, almost completely straight out of the nonsense socialist alliance rhetoric, would you be a member by any chance?

No it won't. The entire Western world sees Israel for what it is - a war mongering, murderous state that has no right to exist on its blood stained soil. Only the US and, for whatever reason, Canada bother to stick by Israel. Italy has pulled out because it is a farce, much like a lot of UN conferences regarding Israel.

The gap between Arab countries ("Islam" yeah gg fucktard) and Western countries will not widen - it will remain the same: united against Israel's needless and barbaric aggression. They simply won't be too fussed about attending a conference that will do very little for anyone.
Quoted for extra lulz.

The Western world will play around with the fun game of political correctness only for so long. Some countries are unfortunately too different, and too incapable of true reconciliation on a large enough scale as long as the threat of Islamic terrorism exists.

Jonothan, one needs to understand what Israel really is to the western world. It is just seen as a geopolitical off shore base to keep the Arabs in check. Other than that the west a dont really have any special affiliation with Israel. ESPECIALLY EUROPE.

Perhaps that is what it is to some countries, but this is definitely not the case for many of them.

Even if you are right, it being a "geopolitical off shore base" for the Western world would qualify it for more sympathy and support then its Arab neighbors.

I would like to put forward my own conspiratorial theory upon the subject:
After World War II and the general public backlash against anti-Semitism and genocide, the Catholic Church (who had been working with the Nazis) had to find a new way to eliminate the Jews. So they, working with a loose Protestant alliance, the remainder of the Nazis and the Arab nobility, conspired to set up the state of Israel in Palestine, stating humanitarian and guilt-ridden reasons for it, which got the Western governments on board for the idea.
Then the Arab royals - primarily the House of Saud and funded and supported by the Church - declared unofficial war upon the state of Israel, rallying support across the Muslim world for a jihad against the Jews. The aim was for the destruction of all the Jewish people and the unification of the Arab world under one banner of war.
Unfortunately for the Catholic Church and the Arab nobility, their ploy for Western support backfired, and the West felt so strongly about the Zionist cause that they came to Israel's aid against the Muslim hordes.
Thus, for the past 60 years the battle has raged, on and off, for the protection of the Jews on one side, and their eradication from the face of the Earth on the other.
The End.

Oh and meanwhile Africa was lolling about, starving in the mud; Latin America was split between it's loyalty the the Church and it's position as the benefactor of the West; and East Asia wisely stayed out of the conflict.

Snub UN gabfest, argues Julie Bishop

Greg Sheridan, Foreign editor | March 07, 2009
Article from: The Australian

THE Opposition has urged the Rudd Government to boycott the forthcoming UN conference on racism, commonly known as Durban II.

At the first Durban conference on racism, in 2001, the final declaration did not stick to a statement of principle against racism but focused heavily on Israel, describing it as a racist and apartheid state. Both the US and Israel walked out and many delegates described the atmosphere as abusive and hostile.

Opposition foreign affairs spokeswoman Julie Bishop told The Weekend Australian: "Durban II looks likely to be every bit as one-sided as was Durban I. Instead of combating racism, Durban II is likely to become an agent of racism.

"It's our view that the Government should take no part in it. We should never get into the position of trading our principles, or our support for Israel.

"Just looking at the draft declaration of Durban II, it looks unsalvageable."

Ms Bishop said that with the process being negotiated by Libya, and Iran and Cuba riding shotgun, this revealed the character of Durban II.

The administration of US President Barack Obama decided late last week that it would decline to attend the conference. Soon after this, Italy made a similar decision. Canada had already decided some time ago not to attend.

A spokesman for the Rudd Government said it had not yet decided whether to attend Durban II and would decide on the basis of whether Australia could make a positive contribution or whether the conference would be marred by anti-Semitism.

As the conference is due to be held on April 27, it is expected that the Government will make an announcement in the next couple of weeks.

Say what you want about like, Muslims being evil, and whatever? Fact remains that Israel has killed far more Arabs than Arabs have killed of any other nationality. Who has done evil? Why, Israel of course.

No worries, good to get some feedback. Sometimes I just feel like I have to drop down a level - or two - to get a point across - particularly when I visit the State Library on the weekends to the sight of red commy flags.

Flawless logic, yeah. But, like, then that would mean because Arabs have killed more of, like, other Arabs than Israel has that they are totally the greater evil and whatever.

I think one cannot refute that the Arabs have killed more of their own brethren than Israel has in her 60 years of Statehood. The biggest enemy of the Arabs are themselves.

Assuming that, does that mean that we have no reason to criticise Israel anymore?

Nah, not really.
Besides the normal homocidal activity in a society (such as murder and manslaughter) there are very few Arabs that have been killed by other Arabs since Israel's founding. Israel has killed far more Arabs than the Arab states have.

Iraq Civil War, Iranian Revolution, Civil 'War' in Gaza between Hamas and Fatah, Black September (when the Jordanians killed thousands of Palestinian refugees, Arafat claimed 20,000+ deaths), Sudan, Hezbollah takeover of the Lebanese Government etc.

The list goes on. I'm pretty sure Arabs have killed more Arabs than Israel has.

EDIT: Not to mention the many deaths through oppression that come with the majority of Arab states being autocracies, dictatorships and non-constitutional monarchies.
