I'm thinking of doing B Eng(Aeronautics or Mechanical) combined with a B Sc(Maths/Physics or double maths) and I'm wondering what the advantages and disadvantages of the different unis (particularly USyd, UNSW and UTS) are, and which is better overall.

Thanks.

No undergrad on this forum would know (as many have already noted). Surely by now you know that such a thread will merely be an avenue for some to engage in a little bit of uni bashing?

UNSW is one of the most toughest places for engineering so be prepared for the work! :p:p

This has been said here and elsewhere so many times, Eng = UNSW. As for Sci, I would say UNSW or USyd.

@xiao: What's wrong with UNSW's grass?

That''s correct....if you're only referring to the little area called Sydney. :p

Looks like I have to decide whether the Eng or the Sci is more important.:p

UNSW spends heaps on engy to incr profile..hence nicer resources

Usyd has reputation.. my brother went here for eng.. since cut offs are higher as i recall it indicates more competitive students

for the teachin check out the good unis guide :)

that's weird, i'd expect usyd to have a lower cut off in eng than unsw??? @@
