Was alright, I'd say a 1:5 girl to boy ratio. Apparently there was more girls this year. A few white girls yes.

I think Macquarie only has a Law Camp and an Actuary Camp.

How's the CSE/computing society at UOW?

Yeah some chick had to be carried to her room. Don't know how anyone could get THAT drunk though, they ran out of booze pretty early, even though there was a fair amount.

The society is one of the more active ones and its pretty good. (Though probably not as active at CSESoc at UNSW)

Also we had google on our campus a few weeks ago. Not sure if they made a visit to unsw as well. It was pretty cool.

Realised I shouldn't even bother applying for an internship this year as they want you to have lots of ECs and programming knowledge.

Also I heard having recruiters emails and sending them your application directly can higher your chances for an internship.
You should focus on getting some sort of internship before you graduate

Yeah we've had a few company events but I haven't gone to any, I'm going to start going from now on tho.

Some of the Tech/Telecommunications companies give pretty neat freebies. Apple/Google/Optus are ones I've been to that have given out pretty good ones.

Nah I just like freebies/learning about different industries/subjects

Plus Accounting/Business Administration has links with IT stuff.

Getting better at least... except maths which I feel dumb in now HAHA but I still like it.

Only thing that I'm still feeling ugh about is SCIF for the maths component.

Yeh MATH can be really hard to adjust to, coming from a background of HSC-style mathematics. It's very different, but I'm sure you'll adapt and excel!
