Once upon a time, in a forest, there was a clearing. A fox came into a clearing.
And saw a rabbit. And the rabbit was typing.
The fox said "What are you doing?"
And the rabbit said "I'm writing my thesis."
The fox said "Oh really? What's it about?"
The rabbit said "it's entitled: The role of the fox in the diet of the rabbit"
And the fox said
"Haven't you got that the wrong way around? It's foxes that eat rabbits."
And the rabbit said "No no no, this is right. Come down the rabbit hole with me, and I'll show you how it's done."
So the fox and the rabbit went down the rabbit hole.
And after a while, the rabbit came back by itself. Licked its lips, and went back to the typing.
...
And a while later a wolf came into the clearing.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm writing my thesis"
"Oh what's it about?"
"It's on: Wolf protein, as a source of rabbit nutrition."
The wolf said "Don't be ridiculous that's completely farcical"
"No come down, come down here and I'll show you."
So they went down there
And a while later the rabbit came by itself burped and went back to the WORD processing.
...
Some time later a BEAR came into the clearing.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm writing my thesis"
"What's it on?"
"Why rabbits eat bears."
"Don't be ridiculous"
"No come down here come down the hole and I'll show you."
And they went down the burrow together
And they came into a big room.
In one corner of the room there was a pile of fox bones.
In another corner of the room, there was a pile of wolf bones.
In the third corner, there was a lion, picking its teeth.
And the moral of the story is, it doesn't matter what your thesis is about, or what you use for data or conclusions.
The important thing, is to have a good supervisor.
