Re: UNSW Food - Expensive or Cheap?

LOL, u still have to pay for the bread and the ingredients.
And your mum needs to make u lunch, although it would be fast but I don't like my mum doing everything for me now...
Lol my parents pay for the ingredients and its still ridiculously quick/cheap.

OMG, you are 18 and you still need your "mommy" :p to make you lunch , god you are never going to leave home, show some independance for god sake , life is not all about marks
LOL I can cook better than you pretty much guaranteed and I pay for practically everything in Uni myself, not mention that it takes me 2 minutes to make a sandwich, probably less. The fact that I don't do it and let my mum make them for me is because I'm lazy, not because I can't make it myself if I have to. And I'm not going to leave home till it's actually feasible to do so. Everything at home is free, so why move. I've got plenty of independences, particularly financially because all the money I make goes towards my own expenses etc. Plus I paid for the deposit and $5000 towards my car, as well as all fuel costs, (insurance I'm using parents for since premiums are ridiculous for me). So I'm plenty independent.

So basically your financial independence includes:
- Your parents paying for part (possibly most) of your car
- Your parents paying for your rent/food/bills
- Your parents paying your registration on your car

Sounds pretty independent

Yeah the food there is too damn expensive, i cant afford jack shit there, thats why i bring my own peanutbutter sandwiches and water. When i run out of water i usually refill my bottle in the toilet sink.

I think it's pretty cheap. You can get a decent feed for under $10.

how the hell did you manage to do that in 4 days? My travel fare alone is $30 and so far I've spent $20 on food :p I'm just bringing stuff from home next week, unless I really want some potato wedges or a curry one of the days.
