people have a right to their own opinion, and the responsibility to respect the opinions of others. By deleting all the "uws is bad" "uws sucks" threads its like saying that their opinion (while hardly ever educated) is worthless and i think its really sorta rude... keeping them here allows people to see both sides (if they are actually open to the 'other side' of the story). tho it is true that most people don't want to see the other side, and don't give a rats... but the principle still remains that i think its rude to just delete it cause you don't like it.

Exactly. I don't mind it when people have valid reasons for saying this. But purposely going out of your way to bag out the uni is really retarded .. and childish at that.

For example, I don't mind santaslayer's comments seeing as majority of the time (within all the emoticons and such) there's actually a purpose to his posts. But if you're just a knob who's never been to UWS, or are just out to stir the shit pot, do it somewhere else.

If you're just going to bag out UWS based on it's location or [shock horror] it's reputation, or lackthereof, get over it because it's already been said so many times to the extent where it's annoying. Have a bit of intellectual substance to your opinion and people might actually start taking you seriously, rather than label you a tool.

I believe in freedom of speech too.
But does that mean people should go around telling everyone what they think about everything? even their harshest criticisms? I don't believe so.
People who simply want to antagonise by saying 'uws sux' aren't doing a service to anyone, they're just being stupid.

1) Yes there is a BA/LLB

2) We don''t know about the UAI, we can only speculate, so yes, my guesstimate tells me yes it will be at least 90.00. :)

haha arts courses are being held at penrith and bankstown now, and yeah law can be done (some at blacktown) and parra. And well arts at uws is a waste of time sorta... the classes just go from bad to worse. (boring to fatal) but meh SURE! ditch macq and come to a decent uni!

When ppl bag out UWS, to me its like insulting my intelligence. To me, it slike people are saying "Your too stupid to go to a University like USYD and UNSW, cuz you didnt get a high enough UAI".
i agree that to criticise UWS because of its location is pretty stupid, has anyone been snobby enough to actually do that in this thread?

but you have to ask yourself the question, and be honest, if you had gotten 95+ would you have still gone to UWS?

If you lived in western sydney, even if you got 95+ uai u'd probably be tempted to go to uws... it's just closer.. People can get paid alot more money in the city than they could ever in western sydney... (including labourer work) why don't they? it's a pain in the ass to travel from western sydney to sydney every single day.
