My Ancient History teacher was surprised that there was a Bored of Studies site and found it very amusing. When I told him about it, he thought I was talking about the Board of Studies and wondered how I was going to get information for my assignment there.

My teacher for Business Studies gets all her resources from this site. lol, she gets notes, case studies, she sometimes even gets us advice!

It's pretty amusing.

Yeah....even the teachers who I didn't think to be that -tech savvy- found that I had uploaded one of my essays onto the Resources page. Got a bit of a shock when she told me after class that she had seen it.

our teachers know it exists some say "its a good resource" others say, "don't go anywhere near it, it will taint your education"

students say the same things aswell.

a few of our teachers post and check resouirces for plagarism.

i get pm's from some lols creepy & funny. But i guess its cause i have a very uncommon name in Oz oh well.

loll, yeah i know lots of people that just leech resources and dont post or very rarely.
i know most students know about this site or lots of them do, i dont think many teachers know about it or they dont mention it.

Our teachers encourage us to use the site, they think it's really good.

Some of our teachers are always quick to say 'The OFFICIAL Board of Studies website, not that B-O-R-E-D rubbish'. Must have had a few problems with kids using it in the past or something, I don't know. Opinions teachers have about it at my school differ vastly.

They just tell us to be extremely wary when looking at some of the forum posts, since it's student work..
Whereas we're meant to learn from our peers ==;;

general consensus is approval, its a great resource and community for people.

they just gave us a wikipedia warning (non-academic source), seeing as like some resources are just from other kids, obviously you can't wholy trust everything about them.

but an incredibly majority of the resources are top notch, and the forums are great.
