I'm getting him a wallet and a new hat. He has this old ratty one that I hate so I've decided to do something about it.

If you're looking for some jewellery stores the most obvious would be Goldmark or Prouds, which have nice stuff for a decent price. Theres a great jewellery place at my local shopping centre (Roselands) but I can't remember its name for the life of me. Nice stuff, though.

I'm thinking perfume, jewellery, personally made gift, preplanned event etc.. But then again my gf is overseas and her return actually coincides with Valentine's Day.. which is a long time away, so I have quite a bit of time to think of something.

there's some good ones in the mall, not sure about shell square. the city, i'm not sure about.
i'm sure you can find something really nice for under 100, check what she wears most (gold or silver) before you go shopping

as if guys can whinge about shopping for girls, its so easy. depending on what she likes you can never go wrong with:
jewellery
clothes
shoes
perfume
chocolate
etc..its not hard to pick something, a girl will usually love whatever you get her.

for my boyfriends birthday which was the end of october, i bought him a tool box for at home while he rebuilds the motor on his boat, and for christams i was thinking of adding to the toolbox with a good spanner set or something..he will no doubt love that, but he is also a pretty lazy boyfriend, and if he has no razor blades left, he just wont shave, he doesnt have deoderant, he'll use mine..you get my point. so i was also going to put a gift box together of a few pairs of boxers, new razor blades, shaving cream (he has sensitive skin so it means a lot to him if he has a good shaving cream), deoderant etc. he will always be grateful with that because he wont have to even think about going out and buying the stuff for himself.

girls, just buy stuff that your boyfriend might mention he needs/wants, good presents are the ones boys want but dont think you know they want (i hope that is right for most guys). my boyfriend mentioned a new spanner set, but didnt think i was paying attention since it was about boring tools..

good luck everyone and merry christmas

Girls often hear a guy say he likes something, then take that way too far.

example:

"wow, thanks for the watch! I love watches"

next 5 years of presents = watches.
