i was rank 2 in Visual Arts and my internal mark was 97/100....i think i screwed my written exam in HSC tho and i only got 89/100 (BIG DIFF!) ...have no idea how my major work woulda gone...anyway i got scaled down to 93 for final...
For food tech, my assessment mark was like 97 (raw mark), but it got scaled down to 88, probably because my exam result was only 88. Big disappointment though. I know how you feel.

I win with biggest penalty.

Ext 1 Maths (2 Units):

Assessment Mark: 57
Exam Mark: 73
Final: 65

16 points difference. And it ended up counting.

Also got nailed in economics:

Assessment: 80
Exam: 89
Final: 85

And I was ranked 2nd/3rd in the class. I was complaining all year that I was getting undermarked and I knew I would top the HSC exam, and I did.

mine was Bio, but my school ass. helped me.
Ass. 86 exam mark was 80. HSC mark 83.

Industrial tech was 90 for all three marks

the rest of my assesments where only out on my exam mark by 2. And that was only a bad thing for me in maths as my exam was 78 and my ass. was 76.

I blame it on the fact that it was my last exam (out of 7 exams) and a period of 1 month of non-stop study :p

I went up majorly in Ancient: Assessment 89, Exam 96, but down in ext hist: assessment 94, exam 88....but that was totally my fault, I stuffed up the time management in the exam and ended up spending 1/2 hr on a 1 hr question.

havnt heard of any bigger difference than this... 25/50 for my english extension assessment, 44/50 in exam = 34.5 (35)/50 hsc mark... thats 19 marks difference !!!!!!! im still not sure how this happened. and music extenision, 36/50 for assessment, 46/50 in exam = 41/50 hsc mark (the music dept at my school screwed me over MAJORLY with regards to my music assessment marks, and wouldnt do anything about it even when i reported them to the board of studies :(

English Extension 2 - Exam mark 42, Assessment mark 32. Stupid teacher had something against my story! I think it would have affected my uai/hsc a lot!

Quite angry at my school teacher >.< If only she gave me 4 more marks in my Assessments, then I would be able to get Band 6 :'(
