Nope Uni will be chill like all my other years of schooling
Uni is several times harder than the HSC. The HSC is for rote learners: try that in uni and you will fail miserably.

First year math has a high fail rate. Even those who done 4unit math in high school fail it.

I actually 'studied' ahead because I really did enjoy it, and it was essentially the equivalent of reading a novel.

And I was essentially guaranteed acceptance into my degree, so nothing would be wasted.

If you're not trolling then I suggest not to do it; you won't even know if you got into the relevant course yet.

I didn't fail because straight after my HSC physics exam I got stuck into the pinching theorem in MATH1131.

...You guys haven't started studying for uni yet? I've accelerated with my tutor and I'm about halfway through 3rd year maths. I just hope that's enough to do well :(.

its not like your guaranteed a spot in the course your studying for straight after HSC. what if you got into another course and all that studying became useless?
I don't think people studying after the HSC are aiming for the marks. They want knowledge and pleasure from learning things they enjoy.

This. I'm starting my computer science course because I enjoy the area of study and love what I can do with the knowledge, not for university primarily - although that is a benefit.

After HSC, do stuff that you enjoy
learn an instrument, play games or go out with friends
If you enjoy studying for uni, then go ahead
But after a year of *cough* hard work, i reckon its time for a break

I'll start studying for uni later, probably after new years. When that time comes, I'll go through the 3u math hsc course (since I don't want to do an abridging course at uni). I'll also start learning C, probably C++, and I'll be programming games as usual in Lua :D Hoping to have finished a turn-based rpg and a bullet-hell shooter, and to have started programming the bones of my 2D fighting game. Also thinking of a point-and-click game atm too.

Oh yeah, I'm also gonna have to start working on 3d modelling again as well, and photoshop too :/

When does uni usually start? June? xD
