Just wondering... am currently debating whether or not to bother getting one. Unlike some of my friends who buy extravagant (4 or 5 digit watches), if I were to get one it'd be something cheap/effective (i.e. under $100) e.g. http://www.dealfox.com.au/casio-watch-efa-110d-7avdf .

Practically speaking though, I just check my iPhone for the time nowadays. Does anyone still wear a watch?

I have a thing for nice watches, so I must admit I'm guilty.

Currently saving up for something nice

i only have my DKNY one i bought on special.
its such a symbol of status in hospitals. plus u always need one on u to count pulses and resp rates.
now, i dont know much about watches but some of the watches the consultants are probably worth more than what i would make in my first year out of uni.

I have a pocket watch that I use sometimes, and a dodgy $2 watch of eBay that I wear.

I really like those damn iPod Nano watches... but on another note, my friend keeps trying to get me to buy an overpriced watch but $5k+ is just way too much to spend on something which I feel doesn't offer much value. Surely socialites and the upper echelons of society won't look down upon me just because I use a microprocessor rather than a set of rotating cogs to tell me the time...
