Why do they change it to ATAR not any more UAI? Wanted good mark now not able to get good mark because of the board people.

lol. Me nots know why change UAI.Why do they change it to ATAR not any more UAI? Wanted good mark now not able to get good mark because of the board people.

They wanna make it so that all the states except qld are the same and are therefore comparable. queenslands education system is pretty much a lost cause so... they cbf with that imo

LOL. Definitions of good are subjective OP. In many people's books, 99.5+ is still a very good 'mark'.Wanted good mark? Umm, well the only mark not included is 100, and I doubt you're gunning for that with that sort of speaking

ATAR = Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank.
it is to nationalise the universities admission to a standard across Australia.
This will make it more attractive for people to travel to another state to study as the admission is easier (no need to transfer from one system to the next)
NSW is leading the way by introducing ATAR now, the other states will follow suit next year.
Except Queensland. they don't wanna play.

UAC changed it, not the Board.
Other states only give the top rank, 100, to people with the perfect score ie. a scaled aggregate of 100.
That's pretty much never been achieved in NSW (except once like 30 years ago or something) so instead of having the other states be more logical by giving the top rank (100) to the people that came top in the year, they make NSW change the top rank into 99.95 for cosmetic value.
