When I went, it was outdoors.
A couple of guys from the Faculty of Science will be around the train set to keep it running and pouring and dipping liquid nitrogen.

Hmm, even I might turn up to see this maglev train, to fulfill part of my [insert negative adjective of choice here] SCOM course requirements (ie, going to any kind of science communication event)...although the psychology stuff sounds interesting too:
