Reference as you go. It's the best way to keep track of things. Especially if your using a large number of them.

Yeh, even in some hsc things it was shit goin to try find my sources later, though I could have written any shit for that and it wouldn't have been checked or anything.

I'm more worried about the specificness of the whole process.

At undergrad level, they won't check every reference you use. Just make it look right and you'll be fine.

I <3 uni

OMG i hate that guy >.<"
unless they keep asking stupid questions every lecture, in which the answer has already been said by the lecturer 5 seconds before XD
LOL, that reminds me of a girl in my year who was like "Ms, I don't understand" all the time. I heard from one of my friend saying that she doesn't even know why 5+2=7
She kept going on like..... "But Ms, I don't understand..." And her 2U maths teacher was yelling at her. I was like... I can get my little brother to tutor you....

Ha yeh, this referencing stuff seems really daunting and scary.
You'll get used to referencing, just be consistent. Find a reference style that you're comfortable with and just keep using it till it becomes automatic.

Wow, bad luck there with the referencing problem. I'm sure you'll fare better this semester though :)

Here's a link to the EndNote program:
EndNote - Switch - The University of Sydney

YES IT'S A USYD WEBSITE, BUT IT'S WHERE I LEARNED HOW TO USE ENDNOTE. Looks like my year at USYD was useful after all. Ironically for my law course, we're not allowed to use that software :S

Anyways back on track with the topic of this thread, I prefer uni much more. I've become more confident overall. Ok, so I don't get to see most of my close friends, but we still try to meet up once a week, gotta love 1 hour lunch breaks. And then at the end of semester we go have more fun :D

Don't say that markers won't check your reference, THEY DO and via turnitin.
That software gives the lecturer/tutor a percentage of how many direct quotes you used and whether you referenced them or not.
Unfortunately turnitin costs a fortune and it's only available to the teaching staff.
I'd wish we had access so we could double check our referencing before submitting. =(
