I didn't really try though. That's why I feel bad because I know I could've done better.
Also because I screwed Maths so much and I knew this in the exam. :(
I didn't work that hard overall, but I put more effort into my music and maths subjects, got lower than expected. Even had to prepare for AMus this year. Despite getting relatively good marks, I could have done better in English and legal, but still feeling fine considering that I barely put effort into those subjects.

oh well, as long as you can get into the course you want, that should be fine :)

PLEASE EXPLAIN:
My rank in Advanced English was 1st at my school, with a big gap between me and the next person. My exam mark in the HSC: 92/100 yet my Assessment mark was: 89/100.
How does this happen? I thought being first in a subject meant I couldn't be "dragged down" by my peers? :S

Are you sure you were ranked first?

Were you equal first? If so, the internal would be the average of your external and the person you came tied first withs external.

I am 100% sure I was 1st, and by a big gap. I topped every assessment task and there was a gap of more than 20 marks in the trial exam between me and second place (trial was worth 40%). I go to a public school with a rank >400 but I was always told as long as I was first in a subject, I couldn't be dragged down by my peers.
So, please explain? :S

What was your rank as recorded by BOS when you checked in november. If it was first, then its possible that an error has been made. If so, you could try calling the BOS hotline for advice/answers.

Yes I did check my ranks on StudentsOnline and I was 1st.
No one can explain the discrepancy?
