If you look in the 2009 HSC paper Question 3(a), they have a very similarly styled question, where we have f(g(x)) instead of the usual g(f(x)).

So for example, students are typically used to sketching things like:

I still haven't had a chance to finish it, but I've read through it all and tried most of it. I've got a few specific questions, but I'll save them for the actual thread. In the meantime, here's some reactions my friend had to both papers:

3 unit definitely. I think I got a very similar raw mark for both... Comparing normal 3U papers to Carrot's 3U paper was a MUCH bigger jump than normal 4U papers to Carrot's 4U paper imo. Though they were both insane and very well written
