    Scaling

Could somebody explain to me how scaling works in drama, what happens to your raw mark?

    Biggest Tip For Monologues

Hey, I am currently doing a monologue about a counsellor. I read that talking to a chair is detrimental but my character is very energetic and does not constantly sit in it. She likes to reimagine and portray the things she is telling her patient, if that makes sense. Anyway, I can imagine that...

Using a drama piece for belonging related text

Thanks. @ Riproot, hey, of course I don't want to fail. That's why I asked. I've never dealt with writing about a drama piece. Plays often don't have stage directions at all, but I saw a production of a certain script and wanted to use their ones. But of course, they weren't written down in the...

Trials - English paper 1, questions?

For the people who have done it, did you get 10 minutes reading time, and then 2 hours to do the actual paper? Or is the reading time included in the 2 hours?

Using a drama piece for belonging related text

If I choose to do a play, do I only talk about the script? Would they accept it if I talked about the dramatic conventions of when it was being performed, like e.g. how I saw the lighting, the sound, and the positioning of characters?

Should I drop from 2U maths to general?

Wow, it seems this thread has been a magnet for trolls. lol. Anyway thank you all that have actually given me advice. I'll take it on board. I've stuck with 2 unit, and I don't really find it as hard as I did before. I've approached it from a new angle.

    Hamlet - textual integrity/value through time/ critics

Thanks for replying. So if I want to talk about its relevance to today, do I talk about the context of present day society? e.g. the notion of christian values in today's society compared with its values in Hamlet? Do I need to back it up with quotes about present day society?

    Hamlet - textual integrity/value through time/ critics

I really don't get how I'm supposed to integrate these three! How do I talk about its value through time? How do I properly reference critics? What the is textual integrity?(I did read the other threads - they just kind of confused me)

Should I drop from 2U maths to general?

It looks like I can handle general, it seems a bit easy for me (I still remember linear and other more basic topics). It will just take a long time for me. 2U also seems alright(though tricky) for me, though I'm just worried again about the next exams, so I'm not sure. We have 2 topics left to...

    all nighters

Okay well I usually took coffee, but tea is fine as well. Every 1 hour I'd go and talk a walk around the house, just shake my legs a bit. Sometimes I'd have a healthy snack, I find cheese and crackers are actually good lol. I'd also go and splash really cold water in my face or I'd drink cold...

Should I drop from 2U maths to general?

I'm not sure, but if I estimate...maybe like 30-40 out of the 70 people?

Should I drop from 2U maths to general?

I really need to decide urgently. Since it's the beginning of the holidays, I had resolved to study general maths, like catch up on the topics, so I'm kinda okay for term 2. But, I recently got a new maths tutor(who has gone to james ruse) and he seems to know a lot about the HSC scaling...

Difference between asian imports and Australian born asians

Wow, some of the people are so ignorant. Stop telling them to 'learn english' or to 'get out of their little groups'. Has it ever occurred to you that society doesn't make it that easy? What about those migrants who spend so much time working that they don't have the resources or time to learn...
