Yeh, I remember a couple of years ago that IT required a pretty good UAI... Now its dropped quite significantly...

You can learn Ext1 by yourself, but you might encounter some difficulties. I'm in your position, I have to learn the basics of chem. I plan to just borrow books off friends and go from there. Should be alright. You could do the same with Ext1. Get someone to help you if you can as well. If...
