HSC Art, enjoying it or regretting it???

I couldn't stand Art. I had a great Art teacher for Year 11/12 we actually later came on to become good mates. She was dedicated and always had faith in me! Nobody ever did before. I hated theory. Then we switched for the last 3 months cos she was pregnant - i hated that teacher she had no faith...

    stalemate ?????

War of attribution. Example: Christmas 1914 was a break from fighting i can't get over how chummy they all were - it was like there was no enemy but the next day it was back to fighting again. Stalemate is when two sides were unable to fight and dug trenches. Hence the people running out and...

    Folio Structure

Yes I did a portfolio a few years ago (2 years ago) I did a webpage just as long as i followed the principles like colour, font etc and the content was appropriate. The other thing was using design techniques....background etc. It was all about creative....in a variety of ways. We had ppl do...

    How do you Study?

There are some people who naturally can cram and get great marks for it! However, there are some who can't (like me!) who get really nervous and it really does not help the stress level! When studying I found doing exam papers a great help. The formula sheet is a piece of cake and the more...

    Tension in Witness.

thats strange you should say that Argonaut. We didn't actually notice that of Samuel. What we did notice was the eerie silence leading up to the murder. The scared look on his face and close ups. The sound of Samuel's breathing. We had an essay question as i recall something like How does the...

    henry lawson related texts

Sorry about the long wait....;) with related texts. You should choose something that relates to Henry Lawson. Like not necessarily the story, but the same theme, techniques etc....thats what i was told to do....

    Whos glad they did General!?!

definitely. I barely passed well in advanced in yr 9/10. so i knew general was the way to go. it scaled me down a bit...but its better than getting scaled down more than doing badly in 2Unit.

What to take to uni on the first day

Absolutely I couldn't do HSC again! It would drive me nuts! Yea most people just try and pass, but that's up to you.

What to take to uni on the first day

You get used to it! They give you tons of stuff on plagarising and they are pretty good at being lenient first semester to first years.... after that look out! Uni is much easier than HSC! Uni is like you learn what you want to learn, you study what you want to study. Socialise when you want...

What to take to uni on the first day

At uni, what you have to worry about is all the stuff about plaguarism. There's no copyright laws. You're free to tape your lecturers.

    How do you Study?

The exam papers all have different names. Due to the course changing names over the past few years. The concept is the same except in the past general maths was the really basic stuff you needed to know in society. It's a bit more complicated now, but not by much though. Past papers is always...

What to take to uni on the first day

The HSC is so much harder than uni. At my uni I feel better because everybody knows me by name, lecturers/tutors/course coordinators/office people. It seems weird but it makes me feel more comfortable and relaxed. My unit work requires less textbooks and less work. I have plenty of time to look...

Does Gen Maths Scale U Down

I have to disagree. Gen Maths is great for learning about things in life. 2U u never will have to use unless you do maths at uni! Not everybody is born smart, Gen maths is a great alternative for some.

    Calling all university students!

What to expect? More free time - more need to learn time management. i.e. choose tutorial times that suit you, go to lectures and...choose extra curricular if you want! hmm...with uni its about boose and stuff in o week and 1st week! u don't know uni until u've been there or are there...

    Accepting...

The letter allows u time to still get second and third round offers. (I'd triple check the uni though some cut off by end of Jan) In terms of fee paying and HECS. Of course i am in a hecs place, its not easy to get into a HECS course. On the other hand, if u have money u have more chance of...

    Accepting...

At this stage u dont have to do anything if u have a first round offer. The problem with not accepting an offer, is it is not a guarantee, i mean if more ppl accept than what the uni wants, then there is no guarantee they will hold ur place. More over though, u dont have to accept the offer...

    Accepting...

Hmmm. Very interesting. I got a first round offer in 04. If u choose to reject a first round offer or not answer, u r not guaranteed a place at that uni. However, if u accept the offer u forego the other rounds. O...btw...if its within the same uni...u can switch. other option is an irregular offer.

BTW i think the poor guy should know. Maq's good though reputation wise particularly in league with usyd and unsw.

    Calling all university students!

I agree. He definitely is a snob. Look if you can get into Macquarie uni that's pretty good. Considering im not paying international student fees, im happy where i am. UNSW and USyd are OK too, but i wouldn't pick if you're an aussie student - UAI's! Yes it would be better to split because...
