Does Gen Maths Scale U Down

If you put it that way, then yes. Every assessment task counts...most importantly your trials and final HSC mark.

Does Gen Maths Scale U Down

In that instance, stick to 2U. 60% in 2U is better than 80% in general, but it really depends on your intelligence in maths.

Does Gen Maths Scale U Down

For some that may be but then there are always some not so bright at maths as that is not their forte...or their strength. I think the need for both courses is good. People not so good at maths can still do well. Gen maths scales you down, but then....it is an advantage overall.

    credit average? how hard?

It sorta shows whose bright and whose not at uni. 15% is the usual norm for tutorial discussion i.e. speaking up about their stuff and presentation etc. However, i have got away with passing that by not speaking much. I sorta feel intimidated! Don't know why! Uni medal ppl are too smart!

    credit average? how hard?

It's really a so called 'free education'! Eventually you have to pay back your HECS to the government. I believe working and doing something you don't enjoy - isn't worth it. Actually working at a job sometimes is better so you realise this is where i want to go! BUT...hey im at uni now...

    credit average? how hard?

I can understand why people want to bludge. It's so easy to at uni! but uni if u want to get somewhere a good job or into like a postgrad course after (like me) you have to work to maintain a 'd' average which is not easy in arts, lecturers mark hard!!!!

    Whos glad they did General!?!

I really have to agree general is great for day to day situations. It helps especially me wanting to be a teacher ;) forget about science...really, so no 2/3 unit maths. It is a very well structured course General Mathematics - it should be encouraged more.

Does Gen Maths Scale U Down

That's what i hated about general maths. It does scale down horribly. Now...I have nothing against those budding people who are really bright and need to be challenged further, but for those of us not so bright a lot of the easier units help us to learn about life. The stuff in general really...

    Degree Majors

Social enquiry is one where you get to explore communication, modern history, philosophy, sociology. I like it heaps. It's great , better than business. I'm not really interested in being a millionaire but being happy doing something I enjoy.

    Calling all university students!

I think that's a great idea! After coming straight out of high school uni is a huge jump. The big challenge is every uni has different ways of delivering a course. Notes of course would be good...but would not be able to satisfy everyone. Even telling Yr 12's and 1st year uni students about...

    Degree Majors

BA (Social Sciences) majoring in Social Enquiry as well as Cross Cultural studies. Although, this is not a set career path, it is great as a starting point. Have no clear idea what I want to do. Although would like to do education or politics.

    Australian Political Parties

Gees help if that still existed. Communism - no way! All the way with Labor! All I hear from Liberal supporters is if we had this or that, Labor would spend all the money. Well - hello there's more good points from a labor perspective - we might spend money, but it goes to a good cause and most...

    Latham or Howard?

Yea keep it open. Plus its more opportunities to talk about the wonderful life of politicians. Just because this election is over...doesn't mean you can't talk about the next one.

    how is a degree spread

Roughly at uni i spend 11 hours a week....and I spread mine over about 3 and a half days...but some can squeeze it into 3 days. It really depends esp at my uni which tute u can get into for Arts....but yea I feel like I'm barely at uni but i have heaps of work to do.

Conflict in Indochina Essay Questions & Historiography

As I seem to remember, last year's one wasn't too bad (the exam HSC i mean!) IndoChina I think it was closer to the end of 1960's and 1970's and there was question on Cambodia (which I didn't do) and another on Southern Vietnam collapse in 1975. Media is touched but every now and then.

University of South Australia(UniSA) or RMIT?

Hi asc. I dunno much about UniSA most of us won't know about it besides from the fact it exists. It's reputation is not as big I don't think as RMIT in Melbourne, Monash, Uni Qld, NSW and that. Dunno if that will help.

Witness is fairly straightforth. I'll give you some pointers about it. Techniques you must talk about: cinematography, costume, setting and symbolism..there are more....just make sure you use at least 3. Themes: good cop/bad cop, corruption, Amish World vs the Western World, Violence. Gun is...

    Wrting a newspaper article

That sounds very familar to me! I think I might have done a similar one. Just remember what audience you're writing to, the genre and title, subtitle and all that and facts from your prescribed texts (if necessary depending on which section you use it on) or from the text given.
