Can I Learn It By Monday??

If you know how to do algebra and you can use implicit differentiation there is no reason why you can't go well in Conics. EDIT: And the basic formulas for it, ie Foci are (ae,0) and (-ae,0) etc.

Using that reasoning, that would mean that step 1 (negotiation) is directly before conciliation, which is of course wrong. Mediation is directly after Negotiations, and the fact that the second step was to "Conduct a confidential discussion....." implies that it is exactly that, confidential...

    Stupid question

x4/3 = (x2/3)2 Any real number squared is >=0, since x2/3 is a real number for any real value of x, x4/3 >= 0 for all real x.

    what was your current ratio

Lol.... you don't need to do maths to be able to work out a percentage.... BTW, the formulas in the syllabus weren't bad, considering there were only about 5, and most of which you can tell what it's going to be by the name (ie. debt to equity ratio).

Wat kind of raw mark i need to ensure a band 5?

Hopefully the whole state made as many stupid mistakes as I did. I think I only got 12 for my multiple choice :S Extended response: My guesses are a mean of 15 for each, and I can't think of any marks I lost in the short answer, giving a total of 82 marks. Hopefully that's enogh for band 5....

I still think it is (A). Although a change in the Australian dollar is domestic, it has an impact internationally, indicating that it could be considered as a global change. Besides, how is dumping coffee a global "change"?

It says nowhere that the widespread dumping is overseas, and a new free trade agreement with one of the suppliers would decrease the expense ratio.

I'm pretty confident 5 is A. Our dollar atm buys about 73 US cents, that's why it is cheap for Americans to buy Australian imports. Similarly, it is expensive for us to buy their exports. If the difference in the two currencies were to increase, the cost would increase more for us to buy...

    what was your current ratio

Ok, so we've pretty much settled the fact that it's 1:1, but what did yous put for the second part of the question? You had to interpret the current ratio.

    Multiple Choice Q3

And to back that up, if it's not radical and it is unitary I'll give $100 to everyone in the state who answered it correctly.

    Multiple Choice Q3

I also put radical. Let's face it, the chance that the Board of Studies would include such a trick question so cunningly covert is extremely small, seeing as though the questions in the HSC are always relatively straight forward.

    what was your current ratio

A Current asset is defined as one that can be converted into cash in less than 6 months (or is it a year). Goodwill cannot be converted into cash in less than 6 months, thus it is not a current asset.

The 2004 HSC - Business Studies Paper

The last question, a 20 marker was a bit of a shocker. Given two options, first option was on financial planning while the second option was on methods of international expansion and source of funds to finance international expansion. I did the second one. Short answer I thought was...
