1st Ranking = highest exam mark?

I am not 100% on this, you would have to ask someone like Laz or Rench, but lets say ur situation is true, then because your HSC mark was 88 then the internal mark for him would become 88. I am pretty sure your internal mark would get dragged up accordingly as well, for exmaple it may become 85...

1st Ranking = highest exam mark?

Its not unfair, its an advantage...Because even if you screw up in the exam, you get the highest HSC mark that anyone from your class got as your assessment mark. Its the only way to make sure that your school isn't marking you 'easy'. Otherwise every school would be giving 100 to their...

1st Ranking = highest exam mark?

Yes, it is true that the person whose ranked first in the class will have an assessment mark equivalent to the highest HSC exam mark in that class. I am not sure if what you said is true for the 2nd rank.. Also yes it is true that if your ranked first, and you get the highest HSC exam...

    taht 2 tube question?

Nah, the length of the wire was 1 metre and the separtion was 10 cm (0.1m)...when u plug inthose u get 221 Amps. I dont think you halve the current because its a repulsive force. Also lol never knew about that car battery delivering kiloamps - guess i dunno much about cars

    People who are specialized

I think doing a range of subjects can sometimes be beneficial over just picking, as people have stated, 4 unit maths and sciences. For example I chose modern history, IPT, 2 sciences and 3U Maths. I found that, having done modern first, it was much easier to focus and do well in advanced...

    Section 1: Multiple choice

haha I agree, they put stuff thats seemingly beyond the sylabus in todays physics exam as well - why does BOS bother with dotpoints if they are not gonna follow them.

    Quanta to Quarks thoughts

Yeah No need to explain the exclusion principle fo rthat question. Just had to say that he came up with the neutrino to explain the anomalous energy distribution of beta particles during beta radiation

    Contradictory Physics

In Chemistry the cathode is postiive only in a galvanic cell. In an electrolytic cell, the cathode is negative ;)

    this years band 6 cutoff

I dont agree that this year was easier than last year - mainly due to the multiple choice (much more difficult) and a couple of the longer assess questions would have thrown a lot of ppl off. Last year it was spelt out in the exam, this year it was more broad and hence more difficult. I can say...

To all those wanting an explnation for the projectile question, the two formulas u need are range = V2Sin2@/g and Max Height attained Height = V2Sin2@/2g Just say that V = 1 and g = 1 for convenience Sub in 40 degrees and 50 degrees respectively. you will find that the canon shot at 50...
