I'm not saying there's more to learn in Anat, but there's definitely more memorisation whereas I find in Biol I can "learn" the stuff more traditionally.
Got an invite to do an Aptitude test as I didn't get in the main round.
Does anyone know if they mix the aptitude score with the ATAR (or equiv) or do they simply take the results of the aptitude test to figure out if you're in?
Yes this is for the early rounds.
The Uni I'm wondering about is UWS which promised me early offer if I was to set the course to #1.
Did some digging and it appears that UTS says "if it's not one then you're still guaranteed as long as the prefs above do not offer." Which is fair enough.
So...
I get that, but my question lies in the following scenario:
1. I get an email notifying that if I set first pref to a certain course I am guaranteed to get in.
2. I'd rather get into my true 1st pref, but I know my chances are low.
If I keep the preferences as they are, and assuming my first...
If a Uni tells you "Hey if you move this up to first preference you'll get in for sure!" but you want to test the water for other unis but wouldn't mind the original uni's offer, can you still leave them at a different preference and still get their offer?
I assume they tell you to put it...
Thanks for all the info everyone. Interesting to learn the differences b/w the Comp Sci courses at UNE and UNSW. Indeed, the UNE course features very little mathematics (basic maths and science is all that's required). And yes I'm an external.
W/ regards to the ATAR I should have finished 8...
Hey,
So I'm a B. Comp Sci / B. Laws student at UNE, but given I live literally 30 mins from UNSW (and heck most other unis in Sydney) I'd love to know what the chances are of transferring to UNSW in Sem 2 with a GPA of 5.5-6.5 (depending on exam results that release later this month).
Thanks
Re: Want to know if you made it into your preferred UNSW course before official offer
Log in to myUNSW and you should see your offer there.
The excitement will wear off, trust me.
