2016 hsc speeches predicitons? Will it be elft open?

This is a serious question but... what are Speeches (in terms of the module, obvs not what is a speech haha)? Is it like a collection of speeches you have to study? I just have a fictional novel (Sixty Lights) to write about for mod B which makes it pretty easy though in terms of structure.

    HSC 2016 MX2 Marathon (archive)

Re: HSC 2016 4U Marathon In all cases the answer is Yellow (by any student wearing a yellow hat). The three cases are as follows: Y-Y-R Y-R-R Y-Y-Y For the sake of the explanation let's name the order of hat wearers as A-B-C respectively. Case 1: Student A guesses yellow because he...

    ATAR (HSC) Estimation Request

Nice stats there. 97.1 Your Bio and maths (2U and 3U) ranks are what's pulling you up. English, chem and physics are alright. With your question about English I'd estimate about 97.8.

    2U Question 16 Past Papers

Hey guys, I really need help with Q16 for past papers, like how to approach them and answer them. Up until 15 I can do fine or I understand the solutions easily. With Q16 I don't really understand the questions and even if I understand the solutions it doesn't really help on how to approach...

    Official BOS Trial 2016 Thread

Nah dude, that was the whole point of that question. To test your creative writing skills. How come you didn't write a discovery creative?

    Am I studying incorrectly

I admit I have been slacking a bit with studying business studies but I was going to recommend this (or something similar). However this is because Business for me is pretty much the same as it seems for you, where lots of it is common sense and things I can review are the more heavy stuff that...

    Tips n Tricks

Yeah this is true, understanding HOW to answer a question is a big thing for exams. But don't forget to understand all the key content (the syllabus). Physics is pretty different to other subjects, but it is also pretty fun. A few of my tips are: 1. Practice past papers. I know this is...

    Tips n Tricks

I would say about a 20% ratio to 80%. Though you could download a past paper and have a look at it yourself (count the maths-related marks). It may be more but in terms of difficulty ratios for each, and time needed for both areas in the course. Though this is a rough estimate so I wouldn't...

    Discovery essay Paper 1

Hi there, My teacher recently told me that 2 prescribed poems are good to use as your "prescribed text" so you can demonstrate that you know the poems are part of a collection. So it's not just you're lecturer saying that, my adv. teacher also told me that about poetry (Mod C for me). I don't...

    Considering Dropping Mathematics

You can do a bridging course I think for 2U. Maybe look into that?

Fizzycyst 2016 - HSC Physics Trial

I still don't understand your reasoning. 14 D is increasing armatures which I don't see provide a constant torque. Unless you mean 14 A since you seem to be talking about increasing coils (which implies increasing the turns?) A) This is an ideal transformer so the flux is already at a maximum...

Fizzycyst 2016 - HSC Physics Trial

But the time of flight is equal for both of them? That's what I thought (hence my answer for B). Acceleration due to g is equal for both and the vertical velocity of both will be equal throughout the flight.

Fizzycyst 2016 - HSC Physics Trial

12- here I'm more interested about flux as the induced emf will be dependent on the flux. Does thickness increase flux? You're statement "I assume a larger area will allow more " doesn't really apply since the area of the disc experiencing flux is the same in both discs. 14. I'm confused on...

LOL, just realised 15 is wrong as it's an electron. Should be D.

    Does anyone have answers for the multiple choice section just so I can compare? Mine were: 1. A 2. B 3. D 4. A 5. Not even sure for this one 6. D 7. There was no Q7. 8. C 9. B 10. B 11. C 12. A? 13. C 14. A or B? 15. C 16. A or D? 17. B 18. A 19. C 20. B I could be wrong about most of 'em but...

    Scaling and Raw Marks

From my understanding: You sit the HSC exam and receive a raw mark. This is what the markers award you. BOSTES then uses this raw mark and aligns it. The database rawmarks.info are a collection of past raw marks being aligned. This ALIGNED mark is given to you on your HSC results alongside...

2004 HSC Mathematics Extension 2 Examination Solutions

You absolute legend! This looks insane! How long did it take you to compile this? Even though I don't do 4U this deserves recognition as I can see the effort and time you've put into this.

2 weeks till it happens (please help)

I would say this depends on the student. You could leave English till last but this may mean you suddenly wait too long and become underprepared. However it may not help learning something now that if you are just going to forget. You may want to do some stuff now, maybe content heavy stuff such...
