    HSC Physics - 2014 Predictions

Well, it hasn't been asked since the new syllabus came in (13 years), to me that would make it likely! It has to be asked one day! Guaranteed the day it is asked it will be very poorly done! Just like identifying superconductors and their critical temperatures. I'm pretty sure it was in the...

    HSC Physics - 2014 Predictions

It may be amazing, as old as we are, but last year we were introduced to this term called 'googling'! :) They asked a similar question in one of the old school cert exams, which they used Google to check. It was about naming a PRACTICING AUSTRALIAN scientist. It was answered so poorly they...

    HSC Physics - 2014 Predictions

I don't mean just that outcome, but all of the PFA and the Skills outcomes which are 11 of the 16 outcomes in the syllabus! Knowledge and Understanding (I.e the 'dotpoints') are only 5 of the 16 outcomes! I can't remember the entire 2013 exam, but Q31 (the 7 marker) was based around a PFA...

    HSC Physics - 2014 Predictions

100% agree. Most of my tutoring students never hear about it from their school teacher. But, go through the last 10 years of examinations and I guarantee there are questions relating to them in each exam. Most likely 4+ marks.

    HSC Physics - 2014 Predictions

Hey guys, So, what do you reckon?! I think there will be a couple of big PFA questions, a hard relativity question (there really has never been a HARD one), perhaps the named Australian male/female physicist, but I've got a feeling there will be quite a few skills-based questions and...

    Past Indepdent Q

Stars which are higher up in the main sequence evolve at a faster rate than those lower down. For this reason the more massive stars have left the main sequence and have become something else (red giant etc..), so there are no stars in that section of the main sequence

I would come, but you all make me feel dumb. Esp when you start doing this maths stuff on the whiteboard. Like srsly, what is that? None of that in HSC Physics.

    Snap probability

LoL! Q1 in 2u exam mebbe! Whilst not identical, they are 4 cards of the same character from the film, so they cant really be paired with anything else. So, I suppose we could treat them as being identical? :-)

    Snap probability

2 successive cards must be of the same 'group'. So the probability that the first 34 successive cards are all from different groups, but the final 2 cards are from the same group. I wish I had a calculator! And my wife would stop hitting me..

    Snap probability

So, I was playing snap with my 3 year old daughter with 'Frozen' cards and something pretty cool happened. 36 cards 9 groups of 4 cards There was no SNAP until the VERY LAST card. What is the probability of that? Pretty cool :) I actually got excited... My wife hit me... 3 times. I...
