    protection is good for a country's citizens? I agree that you need some protection for occupational freedom reasons. Thought you were a bit of a libertarian who would advocate for free trade though.

    A worldwide drop of agricultural trade barriers would definately benefit the agricultural producers of the world - i.e. Africa, Australia, South America. But the likes of U.S., Europe, and Japan are keen to subsidise their farmers and impose tariffs.

    Football isn't an "Aussie" game inthe same vain as rugby, AFL or cricket. also, most asians hate the japanese. so i don't think it's unusual for an asian to support australia in a game against japan.
