Are you watching Big Brother 2008?

Never watched it. Although the parts that I've watched this year are slightly more entertaining than other years.

Killed because she dressed as a goth

That's absolute crap... it makes absolutely no sense how people can do that to people they know, let alone (like here) to people they've probably never talked to, all because of the way she dressed. What lovely people we have around these days.

    Othello! help needed! soliloquies

Yeah, Iago's soliloquy's are the best to analyse. Iago is the character that matters, I think. You can do Othello's though, and show his downfall (like in the Aristotlean [spelt wrong, I'm sure] model).

    Romeo and Juliet

http://www.bookrags.com/notes/rj/TOP1.htm is really useful. It's got 11 points. Also, probably everyone uses this, but the No Fear Shakespeare on Sparknotes is really useful. And to remember quotes for exams and in-class essays if you're not allowed the novel, watch the movie. It helped me...

    Novels!!!

Yeah, I liked Maestro, that was surprisingly good. Also, Animal Farm and The Crucible were good, loved the actual storylines. You forget that they actually are appropriating, it just feels like another story.

The I LOVE THE NOTEBOOK thread

"We're going to get run over!" "By all the cars?" "What happens if a car comes?" "We die." -- I love the part where the guy offers Noah more than what he asked for (for the house) and Noah looks at him, then pulls out his gun. That made me laugh. Also the Ferris Wheel part, "OK, OK, we'll go out."

    IRP Survey on iPod Use

    1. Age: 16 2. Gender: Female 3. Do you use a Personal Music Player (PMP) whilst in conversation with others? No 4. Do you feel that whilst using your PMP you can effectively communicate with others? If yes, what percentage of your concentration are you focusing on the actual coversation...

What movie do you like that you have seen recently?

Watched the new Pride and Prejudice (Keira Knightley etc): loved it. (Yes, I'm a cliche, what can I say.) Also thought Atonement was amazing, really sad, but... Joe Wright's awesome.

    Harry Potter 7: Two Films

We'll get to see all of every detail now (and am glaring at the director and other people involved so they do)... it's not like in the other books where there was some stuff that you could kind of skim over (which I hated. Is it too hard to make SOME details matter? Like that Harry's eyes are...

Extension English Story: what do you think

Thanks heaps! I'm completely nervous about reading it out in class, though. Thanks for the feedback - I was worried it was a complete stretch, too.

    Novels!!!

I liked Saving Francesca. Thought it was much better than Looking For Alibrandi. Her best is On the Jellicoe Road, though.

    Novels!!!

Boy Overboard (Year 7), whatever "myth" or thing we did same year, and that horrible time year 9 when we had to read "An Open Swimmer". And the entire English class was like, NO. Get that away! There's not enough punctuation!

Extension English Story: what do you think

For Extension English, we had to write a story as an appropriation of Frankenstein, by Mary Shelley. I'm just posting to see what you think, before I hand it in. It's not very much, a 2-night effort, and a kind of stretch in regards to appropriation, but help, please! Thanks heaps. (Also... very...

    HELP with Principles pleasee?

Do you have the Textiles and Design Prelim & HSC textbook? You can find it in there, pages 20 - 23. It might not assess them all, though. My mum has stolen my textiles folio so I can't help you fully. Sorry :(

What UAI would you be content/happy with?

yeah. I'm the same. I only need about 70 - 80 for what I want to do, but I'd still love that really high one.

    Fashion Illustration

I'm really interested in fashion illustration, and I'm just wondering about everyone else. Do you do some as well (not just for class, also for fun)? Do you draw the people by hand, like the poses, or do you do the pose tracing?

    English Othello Task

Yeah, but you still manage to sound like a complete genius in class. You could have my problem... you know, I babble on for an hour which can then be summarised in about 3 words. -- I went for a more social angle though to Othello, as well as that the journey of realisation that the world...
