Did you mention productions in King Lear?

Reception in different contexts =! Productions. Productions are only ONE way of looking at how a text has been received in different contexts.

    SMH Article on Paper 2

    3. I was using _dhj_'s original wording, as seen on the first page, It wasn't my phraseology. By which he/she probably meant 'participating in their activities' rather than 'joining' any actual association or orgnisation. 5. You're probably right. I've just never heard the quote...

    SMH Article on Paper 2

Hitler was able to take advantage of a unique poltical environment in the form of post-WWI Germany, depression, unemployment, etc. To claim that something similar could occur today is rather dishonest. You are right though, that the de-humanisation of the 'masses' is nothing new at all...

    SMH Article on Paper 2

Where did I say anyone should not pick or choose what they believe? 1. True 2. False 3. Where did I say that? 4. It's in Mein Kampf, I'm not digging up a fucking page reference for you. It's discussed here. 5. What? 6. That's lovely. "Gronk" huh? 7. "I just plain don't like and...

The fact that you claim the Government's IR reforms will result in anyone working for 3c/hour discredits your entire argument.

    SMH Article on Paper 2

You know what pisses me off about that? That it is implying that non-intellectuals, or in the case of this thread, people who haven't studied post-modernist theory, are incapable of thinking for themselves, and that you have to be able to use big wanky terminology like for your thoughts and...

    SMH Article on Paper 2

So true. Ah, so it's not 'trendy' to study Shakespeare for the sake its value as part of our cultural heritage anymore. Shakespeare is only good when it's being used to learn about 'nihilism', and no more valuable as a "text" than a book's front cover and blurb or a defunct government...

    differentiation of logs

In a catholic paper huh? Ah, so there's 0 chance it would appear in the actual HSC then. That's good.

    differentiation of logs

Is the change of base formula (and differentiation of logs to base other than e) even in the syllabus? We never learnt it in class.

    Hardest & Easiest Exam

Hardest: English paper 2. Actually, more like Maths Extension 1, but I'm not even gonna try in that. Chemistry could be pretty hard too, if they pick on random, obscure dotpoints. Easiest: Maths 2 Unit and physics.

    Your standards

OMG she said lol at ME! ... *faints* ... On topic: In light of having totally failed English, I'm changing mine to 60, 60, 60, 60.

    Who else thinks cramming works?

The mean UAI will be exactly 65.00 because there's an equal number of people with each UAI between 30.00 and 100.00.

    Who else thinks cramming works?

Yeah, I wouldn't normally do that, it was out of pure fear of not knowing anything in english at all. I managed to be distracted for the entirety of today and do absolutely no work, though. So much for the "3 maths papers" plan.

    Who else thinks cramming works?

Worked for me for English Modules. Mind you, I spent like 12 hours each in the previous 2 days cramming, so that's a pretty extreme case.

    The textbook thread (special edition)

Couchman and Jones? Man, that textbook is awesome, apart from the fact that it was published shortly after Newton invented calculus. That probably explains the errors, calculus was still pretty new so they weren't quite sure.

Look Here Or You Will Fail Maths! Bwahaha

Outside of linear functions (ie. Q2) there really isn't much formula memorisation; or it doesn't seem that way; maybe that's just because all the formulas are ingrained in my brain. I dunno. It's mainly applications of trig, calculus and geometry, really.

    year 12 muckup days

Somebody (ie. everyone in the whole year knew who it was but they wouldn't own up) broke into the school at night and trashed the fuck out of it, so the principal had to pay for 4 extra cleaners. She had the biggest teary ever, and wouldn't talk to anyone in year 12 for like a week (except...
