Last year there was a uniform question across all the electives that asked about one prac. It's likely there'll always be a prac quesiton in the elective. As for the core, there could be several questions on pracs, or one worth lots of marks. You gotta know them all.

err... The emerging pattern is that it's said "at least ONE" in every single HSC exam since 2001.

Do whatever you want, 1 to 4. While you're at it, feel free to use a poem from the stimulus booklet, too, if you like. All this crap about "oh, you should do exactly 1.85 coleridge poems, make sure your texts are in at least 3.6 mediums..." is pure speculation; you'll get the best marks doing...

Engish paper 2; its sole purpose in existence is to ensure that all HSC students develop chronic wrist pains. No one should be forced to write like 60 pages in 2 hours, especially in the name of "education".

The centre number belongs to the school (or wherever you're sitting your HSC) and will be displayed somewhere at the school/facility during the exam. You don't have to specially get one, or memorise it or whatever, it'll be there.

But Bored of Studies gives us other peoples' work, which we can blatantly, shamelessly plagiarise and use to get marks from the Board of Studies.
