yeah I did pretty bad in that test as well :( but then again, everyone that I asked didn't do too well either, so maybe scaling might come into the equation?

Midsessions mean diddly squat. Hell, I got quite decent marks for my mid sessions but I don't expect anywhere near those kinds of marks for my finals. Midsessions are easy because they don't cover much material and don't go into any detail.

my sister did biochem (2nd yr biotech) yesterday and she found it so hard! atleast I wont be doing it :P though, I have to do fundamentals of chem 1b next year and probably a few other engineering based chems further on

yeah it was on today. 200 odd nervous 1st years lining up for their first test is not a pretty sight :P

Thanks for the responses. I asked a chem tutor about this today and she said you need to be 'close' to the pass mark in order to pass. What do you guys reckon she means by close?

Hey all, I just heard that you needed to actually pass the final exam to pass the course. Is this true even if you already have enough marks (e.g. 30% marks) to allow for a fail of the exam? Cheers

20 hrs for semester 1 & 2

it seems as though the password that i created from the start works with everything (that I know of), and the unipass that i was given doesn't work for anything! i smell something fishy.

yeah i've tried that but the user/pass combo doesn't work there either.

i also have a slight problem with my unipass. i just received it today and it doesn't work for anything! i know about the 'z' for username and the upper/lower case for the unipass cheers

Hey, Just wanted to ask, when is the first date that new students can start paying for their fees of any sort? My Mum keeps on bugging me that there's fees that I have to pay for acceptance because my sister had to pay something like that last year, but I personally haven't heard anything...
