    Think bout it

I know it's theorised to exist, and I've read about the Big Bang theory's application, but it was just an observation about complementation - positives/negatives. If our universe is primarily comprised of matter, with unknown levels of anti-matter, perhaps outside our universe is the opposite...

    Study

So you guys are saying the average time each night is 2-3hrs study + homework? At non-exam times?

What sacrifices will you be making for the HSC?

Re: sacrifices Unfortunately, I'm going to have to sacrifice my Sunday sleep-ins. Saturdays will be gone due to soccer and so that leaves only Sunday to do work. Plus I'll have to cut down on watching TV programs that I have absolutely no interest in. And procrastinating on the internet. Like now.

    Grey's Anatomy vs House

Don't know if I'd call it "sophisticated humour" so much as "unabashed sarcasm".

How distracting is MSN for you?

I used to be addicted to it, but I'll only ever get on now if I need to ask someone a question or organise something. It's just the internet in general that distracts me, as well as TV.

How are the 06's finding yr 12 so far??

I hate it! It tastes disguisting and makes me feel like crap. If I want to wake up I'll run around for awhile. Even if it's just from one end of our common room to the other.

Advanced vs Eng. X1 vs Eng. X2

As with . . . pretty well everybody . . . writing in this thread, I'd have to say EE2 is my favourite. The class discussions we get into are really quite productive but hilarious all the same. Our teacher is really odd (and random), but he's awesome. EE1 on the other hand, I'm only keeping so...

    Equipment?

I am NOT using iMovie. Period.

    Where are you up to?

    Brilliant, thanks.

    Where are you up to?

Tell me if I should start a new topic for this, but just quickly: I'm trying to get an image of . . . kind of a video-game-format-looking-screen-shot-type-thing overlaying some of my video scenes. I don't really know how to explain it. The little "life meters" at the top, and health bars and...

    Equipment?

Can you get FCP without the entire Final Cut Studio package? Otherwise I can't, I don't have that kind of money.

    What are you currently Reading?

Got about 1/3 of the way through and stopped. Watched the Kenneth Branagh (spelling?) film and enjoyed that much more. Still reading: Hitler's Gift - Jean Medawar & David Pyke, and The Elegant Universe - Brian Greene. Great series, good book.

    Think bout it

Okay, I'm not a straight A physics student, but hey I'll have a stab in the dark. Technically, a universe can't really expand as such, if it is infinite. Realistically speaking, we can't have infinty + 1, as infinity encompasses all values afterward. So, in my view, according to Hubble's view...

I like or am doing physics because...?

I've always been interested in why things behave the way they do. I just always ended up being the person who asked "why?" So I chose Physics and Chem. Biology to me just seems to be learning craploads of facts, figures and information. I much rather science that follows principles and uses...

Tell me What you think of this?

It's not brilliance, but it's not cringe-worthy. I agree with those above, try reading some more "classic" poetry. Get an idea of what style you want to write in (Romantic etc.) and look a little closer at the work of the poets that use that particular form. Also some hints: try to incorporate...

    The Da Vinci Code

Not looking forward to the movie. I really didn't picture Tom Hanks as Langdon. It's predictable, and he's a good actor, but I don't agree with the choice. The sets look pretty good though. On the book: I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it. I read Angels and Demons first, which I really...

    Equipment?

I'm just using a standard Sony HandyCam (not sure of the model) and using Final Cut Express HD for my editing. Wish I could get my hands on a copy of Pro though, but it costs a bajillion bucks for the bundle.

    Where are you up to?

Completed/marked proposal, begun storyboard and script. Absolutely no filming started :( Wow, I am so behind.

    The New Bond

I know it's not really blond, but its blond to light brown :). I'm not saying he'll make a bad Bond, or that his hair colour will have that much of an effect on the film. It's just the character of James Bond in my head has just always had really dark hair. That's just how I've always seen him...

    Calculations Involving Volumes of Gases

    Great, that's what I got too (minus rounding errors on my part). Thanks for your help. For the rest I got: 3. 98L of CO2 --> 3.953mol H2O/CO2 = 3/2 x 3.953mol = 5.9295mol of water = 106.82g (where 1g=1mL) = 106.82mL 4. 8g of O2 = .25mol H2S/O2 = 2/3 x .25 = 1/6mol of H2S x...
