Well, before a few weeks ago I'd probably be getting about 12-13 hours/wk with one sunday shift and now they've hired some new people so I'm down to about 9-12

There are hats this year, but not equal number to the shirts so I guess fresh produce, deli and bakery get first picks. I think our manager wants us to wear them every shift, I reckon I'll just put it on over my normal shirt so it doesn't get stinky (although with the number of hours I've been...

That's probably true. Still, I'm glad we can do category entry/manual weight if we need to, some of the supervisors at my store are so slow to get to you when you need help.

You've got to remember the weight of the packaging. So there probably was 4kg of mushrooms + 700g of packaging. It's a shame you guys need a supervisor to do category entry/disc dump.

It would be awesome if the new Coles shirt had nametag holes. I've got heaps of holes in my shirts from my badge.

I think it's silly that you have to go through a register to leave the store, I prefer Coles' 'open door' approach.

I don't have access to the Woolworths Petrol award, however the Coles award says that penalty rates are payable on the 26th and the 28th however if you work both days you may only receive penalty rates for one.

The best people to ask are the Fair Work Ombudsman: Fair Work Ombudsman - think about it, what have you got to lose? You should have been paid for your induction/orientations

we've got the britex/rug doctor things but they're kept way out the back but you do still get a few people hiring them and they are advertised on the in-store radio (this is at coles)

I don't see the problem with people putting baskets on the belt, our express is even built to put a basket down with a groove for it.

Payday is officially Wednesday, however my bank (ANZ) usually gets the money by 8pm tuesday and some banks don't get the money until Thursday. Which department are you in? I'm in Service so the supervisor usually has the payslips ready for when you go to find out which register you're on...

For crying out loud, if I have one more stupid supre bag I'm going to throw it at someone. I don't mind green bags if: they are neatly packed - there's nothing worse than people putting all their bags into a cooler bag and putting the cold stuff on first so I have to try and find somewhere to...
