And, I believe, with customer feedback forms they have to respond in some way to the customer. Hopefully if enough customers complain, they'll pass it on to their superiors.

In fairness, for the longest time Coles would promote, for example, 2 for $3 to make a nice round price for its "dollar dazzler" catalogues but the unit price would still be $1.50 althouugh that did change a while ago, I'm not sure how long

Calm down, It's not the worst thing in the world, I'm sure your manager doesn't hate you becauase you missed a shift. I've done it before, I just completely forgot I was going to work in the morning and I got a phone call 10 minutes after I was supposed to start asking where I was, but nothing...

Let me check, let's say something comes to $21.32 and the customer wants an additional $25 dollars out, do you type in 25.00 or have to work out what 21+25 is and type in 46.32

WoWPoS' EFTPOS Cash Out system seems unnecessiarily complicated. On Coles' systems when it comes to Cash Out the screen defaults to entering a cash out amount or you can just tap on "Total EFT amount" to change that

I definitely think that 18/19 should be considered an adult wage. You're considered adult for everything else that you have to pay money for. But doubling the pay rate for a 15 year old? It would be nice to be paid a bit more but with every pay rise comes a manager somewhere who decides to...

But if everyone was paid at the same rate either wages would have to move down or less people would be able to be rostered on.

Aaaaarrgh! Is it that hard to understand that a KMart Gift Card will only work at KMart and there's absolutely nothing I can do to get it to work at Coles?

Another straw poll: If something's on a multibuy special, do you tell the customer? Like when donuts are two-for-one, I usually will say you can get another one for free, some people really appreciate it. Or like this week when a chicken and 1.25L coke is $10, I have to point out to some people...

Floor staff at Coles are supposed to do it too. If it's something obvious like chips, lollies, tea, coffee, etc I'll just say "Aisle X on your y-hand side". If it's something that might be hard to find - sewing supplies or anchovy paste, for example - I'll show them to it.

8-10 hours as a maximum? Depends on the store but in my store I get on average 10-15 hours/week. The most important thing is to be flexible (well, at least during your application & interview ;)) - I need money at the moment so I always stay back, come in early, do call-in shifts. It also...

Well I know for myself I just filled in the online form with my details, resume, etc; did the test and then a few months later got a call from a lady at my local Coles asking if I'd like to come in for an interview. If you go in-store they'll probably just tell you to go online, unless they're...
