What do you feel when you drop a subject?

I dropped Maths and Ancient. And then had a party. No jokes.

    Crazy IP suggestions?

An incredible amount of people go for the mental illness/complete psycho/emotionally turmoiled/clinically ill character. If you're going to be psychotic, don't let it become the definition of the character. Toy with monologues based on books. Read a book and base your monologue on that. Sorry...

me! we also went to a composition seminar by richard gill (conductor of all the meet the music programs). it was pretty good, a bit on the boring side though. met chris gordon, whose french horn concerto will be premiered at one of the meet the music concerts soon!

    Music 2/ And Extension

hey brad, a friend of mine who was a saxophonist a few years ago actually used vocal blues music and just played it on the sax. she did extension too, got a freakin' awesome mark. so if your looking for tenor sax repertoire and finding it hard, you can always revert to something written for a...

    HSC POETS 09! Unite!

Yeah everyone laughed at me for picking poetry. Literally, scoffed in my face. Which really enthused and encouraged me. I don't reckon it's hard, really. I've certainly learnt that you can't manufacture creative energy. But when i get into a concept i just go for it, and it's great. I just wait...

    Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer

It's just bias. Just like you can do a song, but noone does because most lyrics have a somewhat shallow meaning. English teachers generally think that if someone is going to do Twilight as a related text, they are idiots. Because it is contemporary literature, and you're supposed to show SOME...

OnSTAGE 09 well... the showcase of 08 works

I actually disliked the one about the boy whose mother's friend molested him. Overly dramatic and angsty. There were some really great moments, but besides that i just felt kind of disappointed. The Painted Ladies and Everynurse were incredible. Our whole drama class has been quoting 'Go...

    Performance Tips

Depends on whether you are doing Music 1 or 2. Music 2 expects a higher standard. You are expected to perform classical pieces, rather than contemporary. I'll just guess that you're doing Music 1, as most guitarists prefer. My main performance tip would be don't over-rehearse. I always feel...

Music 2 or IPT - which one scales better?

Having done both Music 2 and IPT (although dropped IPT for year 12), I would say Music 2's workload is ultimately ALOT more. And the level of ability expected for Music 2 students is ridiculous, its an 'elite' subject, and quite hard. If you really love music, you might have fun, but you need to...

    A List of Language Vocabulary

Is it for essays and so forth? If so i have a few more. reiterates, contradicts, eradicates, determines, ascertains, imitates, extrapolates etc etc. they're my essay words (i love extrapolate..i confused my drama teacher with it once. ahhh) i actually dont do many essay subjects but i use...

    Belonging Creative Writing Ideas

I did something very similar to that for my year 11 yearly exam. Our story had to focus on 'dystopias' though, so the story was quite pessimistic. About a baby in a womb, and its thought processes through the experience of giving birth. My ideas stemmed from absurdist drama and postmodernism...

pre writing essays for humanities .

Well, you don't know the exam. So you wouldn't truly be properly answering the question if your essay was off by a bit. It's ridiculous anyway. Honestly, who memorises WHOLE essays? Especially for humanities subjects. Cmon, now.
