How amazing would it be if there was a phone on each checkout (each 2). You could page, call service desk directly, call other dept.'s directly and all, would make like SO much easier especially in large stores!

    Rules for Customers

No, they all think I am asking "would you like an everyday rewards card", they reply with a "no thanks" as in I dont want that.. I was "asking", not offering, if that makes sense. A simple "nah" or "no" would do

@Treefeet If the customer leaves the basket on the belt or bench (or puts it down when i ask them to, in a really dumb place), despite having a basket rack right behind them, I have started making them wait, and walking around and placing it on the basket rack myself.

Oh god, don't take the Maccas job! My friends work at maccas and they get 2 shifts a week and they are yucky close shifts (tones of cleaning and stuff). Get an average $70 a week. I work at Safeway and get the highest retail pay in Australia for people my age, most shifts out of all my friends...

    Funny/ Good Stories at Work

This awesome guy was working on the register next to me. The new software update caused it to take 5 seconds to respond to every click on the screen. He was trying to explain to the customers that the computer was slow and such.. I whispered to him, "don't lie, you just forgot to put your...

Anybody can serve smokes in Victoria, you dont need to be 18. Yes, is the answer to your question, if another worker...

The new release has been hell for us. Registers are SLOWWWWWWWWWW. Our main register which must be open in "after hours" was killed today. Took 30 seconds to display "Cash or EFT" screen. EFTOS wasn't working, and EFT Log on wasn't fixing it. Extremely laggy. It was mainly that register though...
