    2008 Business Studies General Thoughts

lol, my average for this subject is like 70, so getting 5-10 marks more would be awesome. my strength is the short answer and section 3. section 4 is ok, but when my trial was marked by a HSC marker i only got 14 (highest in my class though). multiple choice = death, in the trial i got 10/20...

    2008 Business Studies Exam Predictions

simple answer: because you don't need case studies in section 3 :) i want global or change. finance = death (unless it's sources of funds). marketing or ER = vomit, would make my life harder but after all i've done today hopefully i'll be alright. my main problem is that i sometimes find the...

Is anyone using already prepared essays?

i'm going to memorise one for journeys and telling the truth. however for transformations i've written a few, i'm just going to get the general themes/language/techniques etc down, for critical study i've written out heaps of quotes, since it's likely to be specific.

    Stupid Question about Case Studies

yes. the question will not ask for a case study but the rubric requires you to incorporate it into your answer i.e. Direct exporting is when the product is sold to the overseas market through an agent or intermediary with knowledge of the target market. An example of this is Kebachi Seafood...

    Stupid Question about Case Studies

i'm pretty sure the exemplars (i.e. high band 6's) would have had case studies. my teacher said it's possible to get around 15 without one, which is a high band 5 (only 2 marks off band 6). that's why those answers are band 5/6 they're borderline. the part you quoted is the rubric, i'm...

Guys, I'm gonna make up my own case studies. Am I at a disadvantage?

i was going to do this. but when i tried to think of how i'd do it, i realised that i had no idea. so i decided to look at actual case studies. however if it ends up being finance, i'm royally screwed (unless i find ways to use my work) anyway, look at a couple of past questions and...

What are the ethical and social responsibilities to stakeholders?

There's more than that. g - globalisation (this is joined with m and is generally a need to be sensitive to other cultures - I did my workplace, Dymocks - flexible rostering allows religious holidays to be observed) e - e-commerce (need for security in internet banking/bookings - ANZ developed...

i don't imagine it will be an important question, but i memorised it using an offensive catch phrase: ADD Children Fucking Irritate My Puny Mind

Which financial ratios are better to be high and low?

not always. i was revising this earlier and my textbook said if you have more debt because you're taking advantage of cash during good economic times, it's generally okay, but if that doesn't get turned into cash you might not be able to pay debts, and in bad economic times it's bad.
