    Global Financial Crisis

i've been following the crisis despite a lack of knowledge about economics... and i think it's because lower interest rates = less interest to pay on credit cards / mortgages = more disposable income, more consumer spending which promotes confidence, growth etc might be wrong though.

    Nonius Balbus

how many marks was the question worth, and what was the source exactly: equestrian statue? anyway, a few points you could have mentioned on: - The Proconsul Marcus Nonius Balbus donated the Herculaneum Basilica, which is confirmed by statues of himself, his wife, daughters and mother...

How about we try guess questions?

i thought of a possible question for section B for king lear. something about whether Lear is deserving of his fate or not i.e. is he 'a man more sinn'd against than sinning'? that would be an awesome question. i think i'd actually be able to answer that one.

"Adapting Management and Organisational Approaches to Circumstances"

How about we try guess questions?

i'm kinda the same - hit or miss (hence the <30 UAI comment, lol). so i'm going to hope for something generic.

How about we try guess questions?

haha understandable... but about what you said, i dunno, i think i could adapt my prepared essays (except king lear, which i just memorise quotes for) to last years' questions... most easily with telling the truth and comparative study... i might have had initial difficulty with journeys, but i...

How about we try guess questions?

last year all the english questions were essays. so we'll probably get an interview, speech, article or something. why wasn't i an 07'er :( the past few years' questions have been fairly generic in my opinion, something you could adapt a planned essay to... the exception being module B, but...

    2 exams in 1 day!

are you kidding? languages are piss-easy compared to having a humanity on the same day as another exam, because aside from writing practices there's no real way to study. if it's not in your mind by now, you're already screwed. i'm lucky enough not to have 2 exams in one day. i have 4 exams...

How are you studying for Anc 08?

for P&H - get a syllabus dot point and come up with heaps of evidence/points for it, i.e. entertainment - i wrote about the theatres, amphitheatre, palaestrae, baths etc and what it shows us about society. and the final question always comes from the last part of the syllabus, i.e. new research...

What are you guys doing to study?

i'm going to devote most of my stuvac to business, since i'm fairly shit at it. re-writing notes seems to help me absorb it, same strategy for bio. for italian i'm going to do past papers, while for english i really need a creative and telling the truth RT... not gonna worry about ancient, i...

    15 units

^ going to have to agree with above poster that it is (while not impossible) suicide. after seeing what people in my year have gone through with just 13 units, i wouldn't recommend it. student A: a friend of mine, started with 13. ended up with so much work that he dropped to 11 units. even...
